ok... I was driving my 03 marauder down the street to give my buddies a ride... i got on it pretty hard for a minute, got a little squirly and let off turned right at the stop sign to pull up to the light the car dies......... start put in N or park and start back up cant remember which one, hesitated to start kinda (I think) and started having a squeeling noise or some odd noise from somewhere and drove it down a backroad the car was hesitating a little bit when i hit the gas but picked back up I came to a stop and the car was idling kinda low and just a tad rough and as soon as i went out to look it died again...... I go to try and start it back up and I hear a tink noise (kinda like starter is stuck or something) engine did not turn over or anything just turn the key to start and TINK! no leaks nothing car has 62000 miles on it anyone help please i just bought the damn thing sunday

IT WAS NOT THE ALTERNATOR... i purchased a new one, put it on put a charged battery with a jump box on top of that and it still did the same thing... i disconnected wires from starter.. and just got tired and put them back on and i was trying for it one last time and my buddy said that he could see the starter sparking.... thus i do not know if it will do that if the starter is bad or i just had the wires not tight enough which I am sure they were tight... so now i think im leaning towards a bad starter but i do not know if the starter went bad why it would lead to the symptoms that i described earlier..... PLEASE HELP... someone said i could have done damage to the motor but i dont think that is the case...

Auto Zone / Pep Boys will check batteries and alternators for free.

For what you are spending you could pay for a diagnosis at the Dealer or a Shop.

This is the best advice I can give you.:D
