Do we know this guy?

I sure know that look on his face.. I think I gave this expression to the salesman at the dealership who didn't even know the car was on the lot..

I had seen a longgg time back, they had a Marauder on that show. Not sure if that was the episode, meaning they may have had more than one go on there.

This guy gets pretty easily excited, though. Look what he won in the previous round, and same reaction.

I hope it was three or so years ago, and WoF isn't giving out used cars now.

If anyone deserved it a guy like him did. The only way to be a CWO in the USMC is to start at the bottom, he is probably a Helo pilot. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wheel of Fortune had the Marauder on the give-away list for over a month--it was a black '03 , if I remember correctly. I tried every trick in the book to win it. It was another great publicity gimmick that Ford missed---I think the dealer that furnished the car was just trying to get some advertising and a few bucks for the car--no hoopla or specs--- was a very sad thing to watch.

Didnt realize there were any Warrant Officers in the Marines. Helo pilots like the Army? In the Navy you have to be a Chief Petty Officer (E7) before you can be a warrant so most were older guys.

Lots of short jarheads, they probably join to prove something, and then they do prove something!

Yes you are quite right, but I can't think of another MOS where CWO's transition.

In the USMC, as in the Navy there is also a field promotion, normally to a 2nd Lt., but depending on MOS, sometimes to a Warrant officer, as in Forward Observer, and sometimes it is later overturned. Doesn't matter he is still one of the most deserving guys there is. I thank the Lord every day that there are men like him so I can drive my MM.

(From wikipedia):

Marine Corps
The Marine Corps (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Marine_Corps) has warranted officers since 1916 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1916) as technical specialists who perform duties that require extensive knowledge, training and experience with particular systems or equipment. Marine warrant officers are selected from the ranks of non-commissioned officers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-commissioned_officers) and given additional training in leadership and management. The duties Marine warrant officers typically fulfill are those that would normally call for the authority of a commissioned officer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commissioned_officer), however, require an additional level of technical proficiency and practical experience that a commissioned officer would not have had the opportunity to achieve.

An enlisted Marine can apply for the Warrant Officer program after serving at least eight years of enlisted service, and reaching the grade of E-5 (Sergeant) for the administrative warrant officer program and E-7 (Gunnery Sergeant) for the weapons warrant officer program. If the Marine NCO is selected, he or she is given additional training in leadership and management.

While Marine warrant officers may often be informally referred to as "gunner", this title is actually reserved for a special category of chief warrant officer known as the "Marine Gunner," or "Infantry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infantry) Weapons Officer." These Marines serve as the senior weapons specialists in an infantry unit, advising the commanding officer and his staff on the proper use and deployment of the current Marine infantry weapon systems. The title "Gunner" is almost always used in lieu of a rank (i.e., "Gunner Smith" as opposed to "Chief Warrant Officer Smith"), and the rank insignia worn on the right collar or shoulder is replaced with a "bursting bomb", similar to the insignia inside the rank chevrons of a Master Gunnery Sergeant (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master_Gunnery_Sergeant).
