Anybody ever consider having a Marauder Rally?

Say a rally from NY to LA or Vancouver to Miami, or something like that?

Marauders only.

Wooo, like Our own personal Bullrun, minus petty backstabbing I hope.

But logistics wise it might be tough, but the idea is fun.

Yes - but I'm not sure if I would start out with a cross country one first. Try a one or two day event and work our way up to the cross country run!

I have been wanting to do this for so long my dad and I were going to try Bullrun until you see the entrance fee and also I did not like the idea of the stupid challenges that could damage your car

Yeah, Paul Casey did his "Burnouts across America" tour back in 2003 or 2004. It was a single car rally; but well documented with black stripes in most every state from the east coast to the west coast and back again.

I purposed this as an alternative to Marauderville.

Maybe we could make a Marauderville type event but as a rally. Pick three or four rally points. Make our way to them, then a day or so later on mass converge on some midway point. Meet enjoy cruise around for a day and then rally back to the first rally points and return.

We could try just going to the rally points as a meet, to start with, then expand if determined to be feasible.

I like this idea alot. If people can't make a multi-day 1000-1500 mile commitment, you could set rally or waypoints on a schedule and individuals could drive the legs they want and jump on or off when convenient for them. Attaching a very very rough suggested route. A pass through St. Thomas could be preferable to Ohio, no offense Buckeyes.

Good start, but I think for logistics' sake, keep it all in the USA. (and yes, I'm in Canada.) Hit Seattle and go east along the border's edge, allowing any Canucks to hop across and join up. This would save a lot of hassle for everyone involved, thought I must admit it would be a shame not to have all those MMs up here in Vancouver.....:depress:

Still, I think the venture up into CanuckLand would add more time/hassles than it might be worth. Just trying to be the voice of reason here...Flame suit ON!:flamer:

You're right, it could be. And mucking around with "passports" and "not having drugs or firearms" can be cumbersome. I still want to get some Canadia uner my belt, be it St. Thomas or the Pacific Northwest in '08 or '09.

There would be easy at least 15 Marauders from the B.C./Washington/Oregon regions just off the top of my head...

Good idea and that's a helluva route you propose on the map. When would this take place. Would need to make sure i could get time off from work for whatever portion i could/would do.

Problem with the attached map route is everyone in Texas, etc... would miss out.

Unless we had a multi route rally with a meet in the centre somewhere.

Like a star. Five routes all meeting in (pick a city in the middle). Then have a meet for a day or so and then rally back.

Those who can't go the whole way, could pass off a video of the rally parts they have gone through and we could have the meet and show of videos in the middle meet.

Or we could make it a big circle route.

PCH is really nice. but too far away for us. I-80 is central, but boring.

a big "star" with Kansas City in the middle or some such thing might work, let each region have thir own mini marauder power cruise, with a meet, then back home.

mabey just overpower the powercruise, and have so many tagalong Marauders that they have to take pictures of us...

The idea is very appealing and we like road trips. Keep me posted, would love to see this fly!
