Back on March 1, I posted about the sale going on @ Tirerack for $73.00 per fronts. The original price was $89.00 per, well I purchased mine in December of 07 @ $79.00 per. WELL... low and behold the same set has increased in price value to generate more sales. The current non sale price has went to $131.00 per ! Now I'm waiting to see how they price the rears, which went on sale in December for $122.00 per.

What I'm saying is, if you already have a front set on, now may be a good time to get another set. I know I'm considering this as I type, $73.00 per is a good price now, won't know later.

As for rears I'm holding out for the $122.00 per. Tirerack prices go up/down TOOOO much to get a grip so think about buying now.

Once again if you chose to buy @ Tirerack, PLEASE use the link on the home page of our site.

It's just like gas prices ...they buy 'em, then they sell 'em. Production of the BFG KWD has always been spotty, as ours were the only factory application for that tire. There was a time when you had to supply a serial number as proof of ownership to get a set.
I don't think it's fair to accuse them of gouging or taking advantage. They're in business to, dare I say it, make a profit, and I never hear complaints when one of us makes a really great deal on something. "I'm such a crook", because I took advantage of that ridiculously low price. :D

NOWHERE in my post did I say they were "GOUGING or TAKING ADVANTAGE". But I just indicated that the prices have increased. Business is business and everybody has a family and needs to support. Perhaps the title was wrong, but I got the message out. Marauder owners will do their research we always do.:) And you're right NOBODY will ever admit that they prospered at the expense or ignorance of others.

I've been guilty of that. You can change the title, I believe, using the advance function of the edit feature.

Might correct people's impression of of Tire Rack.

:DIt was the title I was refering to. It was sort of like reading the headlines of National Enquirer in the grocer's checkout> "Two Headed Alien Weds Elvis Clone". Y'know? ;)

I don't think anyone would be offended if you changed it to something like, OH, "Interesting price changes at ...

Same here, I didn't see anything shameless about it. It's capitalism. And economics.

The title could lead one to believe that Tire Rack "controls" the price or manipulates the retail price to show a false discount.

Thanks to the Admin's for being understanding about the title. As I stated everyone has a RIGHT to set their price point, it's what makes this country GREAT. Chicago has just increased the sales tax here to 10.25% starting November, along with a 40% hike in property title transfer tax.

I wanted all to consider buying @ a price thats affordable now.

although I could get the rears here local for around $105 each, I went ahead and purchased the full set from tirerack, from our link. what can I say, I'm lazy. but I appreciate tire rack being a supporter of the site.

now I guess I need to get an alignment...

Here is an interesting, extensive article/summation on tires, for pondering those good deals.

Why does the link take me to Tirerack's Shoes section?

I have seen this posted several times now, is this a joke? They don't actually sell shoes there. They are comparing shoes to tires. Am I the only one that realizes that, or is everyone laughing at me right now?
