Hey all,
I was wondering if there is any tire out there that has better treadware than the stock fronts that are still reasonable in price. I was just looking at the KDW2's in 235/50/18 and they are about $230 a piece . I like the tire ( i have them on the rear) but a ball park 500 dollar figure for 2 tires installed is a bit much, esp. since they are not making KDW2's in the 255/55/18 size anymore so I will eventually have to mix and match anyway...

Be careful mixing and matching tires (compound, tread design, etc.). It can lead to unpredictable handling in poor conditions (e.g., wet roads).

I agree, I would never do mixy matchy like lots of guys on this board do. This car is way to big and heavy to have different water shedding characteristics front and rear, for me. Enough guys wrap these cars around trees as it is, I don't want to be one more.
