Hey. Nice site.
Got referred here by my Godfather, good ole Uncle Lar. :D
As an employee of a Ford Supplier, I qualify for the X-plan. Does anyone have any idea how much a Marauder goes for with the X-plan without rebates and incentives?
I got my first new car through the X-plan (sadly, not even a Merc), but the deal went real well in my opinion. Went in, showed em my code, they checked it, came back and asked what I'd like to see. Drove a couple vehicles. They gave me my price, no haggling. Was about $250-300 less than Edmunds.com TMV price even without incentives! Wouldn't mind getting another vehicle that way although it might be awhile til I get this one paid.

I bought my Marauder on a Ford X-plan in California. It was only about $80 below invoice. Although, it was about $700 less than the AAA price. ALL rebates, cash backs, and discounts still apply--don't let them try to tell you any different.

Even without the X-plan, you should be able to make a pretty sweet deal (probably even beating the X-plan price by several hundred dollars) on a 2003 300B since the '04 models are just around the corner (about 8 weeks away?). I would offer $27,400-$28,400 for a 300B. Offer less for a 300A. Good luck!

I got my MM(300A) on the X-plan and it knocked off $2700 of the sticker price, and I also got the $3500 rebate on top of that.
So my MM was $27K plus change(close to 28K, but not quite). On any given car, the dealer has a chart that lists the regular list price, and the X-plan price. Ask them to show you it. The only rule that the X-plan requires is that you must buy the car from the dealer's present inventory. So the dealer can't order one for you, and they cannot even get one shipped in from another dealer for you either if you want the X-plan price. So you might have to drive around to find exactly what you want, but I think it's worth the price you'll be getting w/the X-plan......

Great! Thanks for the info. I'll definitely ask them to see the chart. If they say no, I'll find another dealer. From what I heard, I think I'll look for the B.
I did use the X-plan to get a car from inventory before. Just happened they had one my wife and I both liked. I was a gentlemen and let her drive it off the lot.

I have a dealer invoice for a 300A right here in front of me... Dealer invoice is 31890.57, Xplan is 31806.11, A/D Plan is 30438.57, Holdback is 1014.

what NBC Shooter, and Logan have said in this thread, perhaps the amount that is knocked off the price of the car by the X-plan is dictated by the code that is given to the dealer. And that code might depend on where you work. I've found that for some reason the amount that is discounted from the price of the car is different w/every type of car, so maybe it's also different depending on the code you have and where you're employed. The way my supervisor at work explained to me is that when I buy a car through the X-plan, I'm getting the company's fleet discount since they buy so many cars from Ford. So perhaps it all depends on how many cars your company actually buys from Ford.

If the A-Plan is the same across the country, then the formula below should make the X-Plan the same everywhere.

Ford/Mercury A-Plan + 4% + $150 = X-Plan

Ford Partner Recognition Program (https://www.fordpartner.com/Login/login.asp?clientCode=&currentCountry=)

MSRP: $34,495
X-Plan Price: $31,937

The prices shown are EXAMPLES only. Actual prices will vary based on option content and can only be obtained through your local dealer.

chico - Welcome to the site. Good luck with the purchase. You would probably get a better deal on a 300A. IMHO.

Not sure if everyone caught what I said exactly. My X-plan price was about $80 below INVOICE (which jives with Logan's numbers if you do the math). Although I don't have my paperwork here in front of me, Logan's numbers look pretty much exactly the same as the numbers I was shown on the print-out from the dealer. My print-out also showed the A- and D-plan pricing, which is terrific, if you qualify!

of any "A" or "D" plan pricing. So that's all news to me:confused:
Chico, I sent you a PM (private Message)........

I believe there's even a "Z-Plan" out there now. Only thing though is that you have to meet about 500 requirements to qualify for it. I think you have to be a veteran, retired UAW and over 65 or 70 to qualify...and you must meet all of those criteria...plus a few more I believe. All in all I think your total rebate on a Marauder came out to be over $7500... Don't quote me on that though!

I think that the A-Z and A-D plans are identical.

You need to know somebody that either works or retired from Ford, or know a deceased retiree's spouse.

That person is allowed three PINs per year, which can be given to anybody. (Used to be "family members" only.)

My mother-in-law just gave my daughter a PIN for the purchase of a new Volvo S40. When my mother-in-law called Ford for the PIN, she also got a $1,000 vouchure which allows my daughter to deduct an additional $1,000 from the A-D plan price.

Based upon the price that a dealer quoted me on a 2004 MM listing for $35,635, the purchase price would be $26,135 with all the rebates and the A-D plan.

I got mine for 27k even....no x-plans...just the rebates and negotiating...i bought the car on the last day of last year which helped a lot...the dealer didn't even put up a fight....i told them what i wanted to spend and they were able to do it

Volvo turned down the PIN my daughter has because the $1,000 voucher is not applicable for Volvos.

Now we need to get her another PIN from Ford.

The old PIN with the $1,000 voucher is still valid until (I believe) November (sounds like a six month timeframe from date of issue), but it can only be used for a Ford/Merc or Lincoln.

Perfect case of "use it or lose it".

Perfect opportunity to get a great price on a leftover 2004 in October.

In 02, when I was thinking about replacing my wife's Towncar and Ford was dealing on the discontinued Continental, I had the chance to pick up a leftover Conti, list 43K, for 28K, rebates and plan discount included. But, I waited too long and couldn't find a color and option package that we liked.

The Continental isn't a "fun" car to drive, but it did have decent acceleration (275 hp, dual OHC) and luxury (buckets, driver selectable ride, huge trunk). Besides, it would have been hers, not mine.

Don't tie yourselves to X or Z-Plans. A and D are pretty much the same, just set up for different people (A for plant workers, D for retail). I'd haggle with a dealer before you go throwing X or Z at them. Most of the time, you can get them to go below X or Z price, but if you mention that first, then they're going to tie you to that and rebates and that's it. Dealers won't move too much from plan prices.

X-Plans are easy to get, if you know the right people... ;) But like I said, anymore dealers sell at X-Plan price.

I don't doubt that you can dealer haggle on some cars, but when I bought my 03 TBird, the local dealer let me walk out the door until I proved to him that a dealer ten miles away was selling Birds on the A-Z plan.

This was just about when the dealers realized that the Bird was not going to be the sales success, MSRP plus car that they thought.

Then, and only then, did he agree to come down to the plan price.

Well, I'm looking at sticker = $35,040 that includes 395 for the 6CD changer and 725 destination and delivery (no licence, taxes or fees yet). I gave the man a check for $2,000 and the final contract states $24,523 financed. I got an extra 1,000 off to finance it, 500 off for AARP membership and the contract has no prepayment penalty so after three months when I pay the thing off (Everybody ought to take that money management course) that 24,523 figure will be a tad more, 299.18 by my calculations (4.9%). 28,823 is my best guesstimate and that includes $495 for diamond cote exterior/interior sealant that will pay to replace anything cosmetic for five years if it can't be cleaned.

The recipt listed 7000 off as factory incentive so I guess this is the X-plan benefit.

Ford Motor Co. sets all $$ for ADZ & x plans Logan If you read the boxes down from the holdback it is printed there . You do have to pay sales tax on the margin you are getting discounted (rebated). Dealer comssion is paid by FMC and as an employee of FMC you are allowed TWO per year to use ,or give to immediate family . no one can pay too much for an MM:)

X yes i agree but it does not get any better than Z plan that is the Ford emp retired program and some get an extra 1k over retire bonus A and D do not get! :)
