Marauder wheel question ?

I seen a set of replica Marauder wheels on ebay from W.A.C. wheels are they any good has anyone used them do they look as good as the orignal ?

My brother put a set on his '03 CV in September 2007, and all are badly corroded after just 6 months of limited use.
The manufacturer indicates the wheel is an "identical aftermarket replica", polished and clearcoated.
My brother's wheels were indeed polished, but not clearcoated.
Also, the casting grain structure at the surface of the spokes appeared quite porous and was not at all pleasing to my eye.
In my view, to use the descriptive words "identical" and "replica" in the same sentence is a contradiction..."identical" to me means "the same as original", whereas "replica" to me means "fascimile", or knockoff.
My DTR is a daily driver, and the OEM wheels have withstood 5 Michigan winters with minimal corrosion only at the valve stem area.

I asked the guy selling those a while ago if they were really clear coated and he also agreed that they are bare polished, no clear coat. You don't want uncoated wheels unless it's on a show car that will never ever get driven.

I was looking online today for good deals on nice rims and came acrossed Finish line wheels they have marauder rims in silver, high polished, and chrome, they also have the replicas but i not looking for them.

Has anyone ever delt with them are there products worth the it the chrome listed for 339.00

They don't come in Gold chrome though.

Not in our climate they'll peal, Nickel plating or leave it alone.
You can get the Mustang wheels for considerably less money(same style) but I read the profile for the center cap is a smaller projection, so you may need to modify the center caps.

I'd want to know if Finish lines "OEM" wheels are remanufactured. The quality of the reman clear coats varies a lot. Some are probably close enough to factory, but some are really sub par and will not hold up.

This may be my next set of rims they are 1995 cobra r replicas they fit 2005 and up mustangs they should fit the marauder nice.
