////////////////THERE ARE ERRORS IN THIS POST--SEE POSTS BELOW--SORRY!////////////////

Okay, after a call to Superchips this morning, I was told the following:

PCM: Date Superchips loaded programming into #1725 MicroTuner:
FDH0 12-16-02
FDH2 05-20-03
BMD0 07-31-03
CDR0 N/A [ERROR--SHOULD READ "CRD0"]
CDR1 N/A [ERROR--SHOULD READ "CRD1"]

According to Superchips, the files for CDR1 were completed just last week; however, they have not been programmed into their inventory yet. Superchips is currently working on the rear-end gear programming and may or may not delay the release of the software for CDR1 until they complete that work as well.

[EDITED FOR ERRORS--SEE LATER POSTS FOR LATEST/CORRECTED INFORMATION]

Well, as soon as the new codes are available and the gears are finished being played with, I'll gladly dish out the $ for one. I just don't want to get it and not be able to use it, ya know?

CDR1 is available from SuperChips, my MM is running that version of code..., Of coarse when I recieved my programmer 2 weeks ago it gave me the good 'ole message "update required.. Call SuperChips" Sent it back to them, and they updated it within 2 days and sent it back to me... Could be that mine was the 1st to get it.

Have to say, the programmer kicks tail.

Cole:

What's the possibility of your contact explaining what the differences are between these codes and what their chronological order is? It doesn't have to be a very detailed description, just something along the lines of what issues each one deals with...

Um, so your answer is that your contact will NOT answer any further questions?

Cole would Superchips warranty anything? Let say we purchased the Tuner and the Tuner ends up frying our PCM would they have any responsibilities on their Tuner performance? How long have the Tuner idea been around and have they done precise test on their tuned results and stats on prior claims or units?

Quote from Superchips e-mail originally posted by ColePerformance
"I just updated CRD1 yesterday and it is in the database

These are the Marauder codes that are currently in the tuner:
BMD0
CRD1
FDH0
FDH2"
--Superchips Engineering

Again, sorry for the confusion, everyone. According to the Superchips engineer's e-mail which Cole posted, the updated firmware for CRD1 PCMs would be dated 08-11-03. Is that correct? So the corrected table would be:

PCM: Date Superchips loaded programming into #1725 MicroTuner:

FDH0 12-16-02
FDH2 05-20-03
BMD0 07-31-03
CRD0
CRD1 08-11-03

HOPEFULLY, this time I have it right?

SilverMarauder:
Thanks for your reply--sorry to hear about your delays!

LML:
I would like nothing more than to do just that. Now about the collection for the $24,782 in airfare . . .

CRD1 Superchips Update:

I sent an e-mail to Superchips tech support asking when the CRD1 upgrade would be ready, and received this reply, "Any #1725 MicroTuners shipped on August 15th or later will have the new code files in them." Sorry, forgot to ask about the gears (I have stock gears).

Updated table:

PCM: Superchips #1725 MicroTuner Update:
--------------------------------------------------------
FDH0 12-16-02
FDH2 05-20-03
BMD0 07-31-03
CRD0
CRD1 08-15-03

i believe cole's car is the mule and testing is being done now. the gears and tire ratio should be out soon unless cole has taken his car back to superchips already.

NBC, apology acknowledged, but it's not really a problem, K? Not with me anyway. We're all just a bit confused on this, and you posted what you believed true. I can't fault you if it has to change, that's part of the exploring process. The only thing that's really harmful here, is silence.

Meanwhile, as long as you are editing your list of active PCMs, I believe you can strike the "FDHO 12-16-02" from the MM list. FDHO is a Gran Marquis PCM code that was loaded into the MM on the production line in error. Shortly after running a few hours, the PCM shut down, resulting in a "no start" dead MM. Most of the errors were caught, but a few MMs slipped through, as it was discovered and discussed here last July.

The error allowed the cars to run long enough to get them into the shipping lane, and it was believed that corrections were thorough. But, a few MMs "snuck out" before the sales release date of 1 Jun. '02, and eventually failed in the field. I know this because my first MM was released to the Regional office as a training aid to dealers before I purchased it, and it died too. Moreover, the SM at my dealer chuckled in frustration over how he received a repair order from LM, for a MM that hadn't been delivered yet.

Superchips should include the FDHO code in their programmer, I believe it's still a valid Gran Marque code. However, it won't work on an MM. Seems that leaves us with four (4) active MM codes in the field, yes? Or, did I miss something else...

Cole, how long do you think it will be before they have that info to put into the tuner?
