ORDERED !
Man, I can't wait to get them.
Gotta' say. It was great talking to Jackie and Dennis.
That Jackie, what a hoot!
And Dennis, always so helpful.
I'm Koo Koo for Kooks right now.
Just a big thanks to Reinharts....

As long as I don't do a header off the porch....

With the new mods, you should be a header of the car you're racing.
:D
Dont install them and go beat on the car.
A dyno is a good idea after long tubes.
The A/F goes lean after Kooks

Thanks Zack. I'll keep an eye on it all.
I don't think anyone around here knows what a Marauder is, much less how to tune one.

Let me know after you get them installed, possibly you and I can make a trip down to Lidios and have both of our cars tuned and dyno'd.
As mentioned by Zack, my car does run lean after the Kooks install.

Sounds like a plan Man. You are in Niagara Falls?
For why haven't I heard of you before...????

actually St Catharines,Ont..... don't post so much, just like reading the different threads that come up and if something catches my interest I'll share my opinion.
Have you found some to install your headers yet?

Yeah, I look at him in the mirror every morning. I sure hope it warms up soon. My garage floor is awfully cold right now.
Saint Kits. Lovely women up there, as I remeber from my youth....
I'll take a weekend, brew some beer and play with the car. Hopefully it will be nice so I can drive the Thunderchicken.
Come on down for a Brew. My Stout and ESB should be on tap in a few weeks.

you just saved yourself $600-$800 by doing it yourself but that it is one hell of a job to do it yourself, I couldn't be bothered due to time restraints and I have little patience when it comes to tackling huge jobs like this.
Keep me posted.....

Yeah, Headers are never fun.
My beloved Marauder has now seen 3 Buffalo winters. There are some things I want to get a good look at while the exhaust is off. You know, corrosion of wires/connectors, sagging cat insulation...
As for patience, didn't you see the part about homebrewed beer on tap. By the way, my beer cooler is in the garage! No worries. I'm sure I'll have my issues, but just as always, I'll work through them methodically and get to the end. Plenty of instructions and I have plenty of tools. Alreadt began spraying nuts and bolts with PB Blaster.
We'll have to stay in touch and hit Lidio in the late Spring. I go through Canada when I go to MI.... Not sure if they'll still let me w/o a passport.?

That's a BIG +2!!
I bolted mine on along with a C&L MAF + cold air intake....
No dyno tune nor A/F check.....
AND then ran the pi$$ out of it at the track.....
it only cost me an oil pump and an engine!

Ouch ! Guess I'll do what I can self tuning for the ride to see Lidio. Best do the cooler plugs too, then.

I don't want to scare you too bad, but I think that the C&L/CAI did more to cause the lean condition-detonation than the headers.
I was dumb and thought that the MAF and computer would adjust the A/F to compensate for all the mods that I did.
If I can get a hold of Cruztaker's NA file, it will probably be spot on.
Ill work on it.
