Hello,
The current issue of Automotive News contains a multipage spread reviewing current and future Ford-Lincoln-Mercury products. It states that the Mercury Marauder will be cancelled after 2004.

maybe we should form a long caravan of cars - a parade if you will - and circle the Ford Headquarters. We could honk our horns and make a general nuisance of ourselves until the suits at HQ give in to our demands.
we could start a letter-writing campaign
we could chip in and buy a billboard on the main road the suits travel.
we could run our own radio commercials on the local Detroit radio stations
we could chip in and buy thousands of pens and leave them in every car on the Ford parking lot.

I prefer to stick mercurymarauder.net stickers on every car in the Ford parking lot... When they track my ass down, I'll tell 'em LML did it...
Speaking of which, who's got a hookup to get me some mercurymarauder.net stickers done up on the cheap?
Nothing fancy, just thinking about something for people to stick in their quarter glass to identify themselves as a mm.net member...

Logan, I had sent you an E-mail awhile back about some round window stickers similar to what the other clubs used. I had 2 versions drawn up, one was exactly like the pins that were sold on E-bay, and the other was same design, but with the God's head in solid white and the letters a little larger to make it readable. I will scan them and send them to you for review when I can. I wanted them made out of a material to put them on the inside of the glass window.

At least we got two good years? The Blackwood went down in one. My brother bought one of those. Guess how long he will be driving it. Things could change if sales pick up. I went in Firestone last week and the service manager had never heard of a Marauder. I had to tell him it was a GM model.

A lot of us are tinted, so that may not work well. Just my two pence!

This is a good idea Logan, feel free to use the God's head pin if you wish. I also have some clip art from the production of the pins, as well as high quality .jpg of the prototype. I'll FWD that to you shortly. One thing though, a lot of us have tinted windows, and that may inhibit working from inside.

I'm thinking high quality reflective vinyl sticker, rather than the reverse reusable's...

Regarding the discontinuation of marauder, I personally saw the internal memo today from Ford Corporate dated last week that Marauder is being discontinued past the 2004 model year.

I wish it had sold well, and had continued well past the 2004 model year in its current (and very sexy) form. Barring a serious increase in problems with the car, I'd seriously have considered a replacement in a few years... now I've caught myself thinking of getting an older CV or Grand Marquis just for winter duty, in order to preserve my precious MM as I have my Trans Ams. Oh, I can just smell the divorce proceedings now...

Ok, here was something I just put together to see what it would look like. Sounds like with everyone on here there are the resources to do it.. Put me down for 4 of them if they get made up..I'll check with my brother and a friend to see if they have any in's with any graphics places to make them up. I like the reflective idea too!

I like the idea of the stickers....but the inside thing is a no-go for me at least....$200 for tint $3 for sticker....no comparison....
But the idea is cool.......count me in.....
