I have the vinyl bumper inserts...they look ok, but I was wondering if I can remove them to make way for chrome ones? OR can I just put new ones on top of the old ones:confused:
:help:

Do a search, I believe martyo had asked similar in the SS Inserts forum.

I would take the old stuff off. Just get a toothpick and pick a corner up, then grab with a tweezer, heat with a hair dryer on hot and gently pull.
may need to make the hair dryer the first step?????
That should work.

A professonial heat gun might make things a little easier.

I'd use a hair dryer, a heat gun might melt the bumper if your not careful.
I'd peel up an end and drip some rubbing alcohol behind the vinyl, it should dissolve the glue.

I did a search after I made this thread...and apparently painting the bumper was the thing to do when they first came out...
