My ESP expires now by mileage, 60K or by 12/30/10 .
When purchacing the warranty for the Marauder , I did not consider how much fun it is to drive.
To continue having warranty;
I have two options (warranty companies)through work, Ford prem care 24/24K for $1500.00 or GE Money Cert care 36/36K for $1800.00
It should be a no brainer, except I would have to finance the ESP.
Paying interest on the money, I bet the Marauder would continue to break.
current Work order;
driver window reg (grinds)
door lock actuator (all have been done now)
A/C blows warm / weak (dryer)

Might be worth it for that AC repair....

You will probably break even, no pun intended.
The advantage could be rental reimbursement and financing the ESP vs an unexpected $1,500 repair on the CC.

+1, when my A/C condensor ***** the bed, labor+parts was just shy of $900. God bless extended warranty!

Finance it through a bank loan if you have no or need better credit ratings.
Nothing like a small loan to fix bad credit.

Go with the ESP plan, it's Ford backed and will be much less of a hassel.

I just added the PremiumCare 500+ to my Ford E-Series Super Duty Van, out of warranty at the time. It was 0% financing through Ford, they can draw from Credit Card, Checking account or other payments available.

I agree on the extension of the Ford ESP. With the recent drop in interest rates, you should be able to shop around for a good rate. Just don't put it on your card. BTW, with the AC blowing tepid air, it would seem a no brainer. ;)

Ford changed the rules you can get it on used cars too. I'm assuming it's national but who knows with different state laws out there what applies where.
Re: MM03MOK -Bunny Runs!!
Have really lost interest in the ol'MM, it will be six years old in short while, only has 9,800 miles on it. The oils been changed more than it's been driven.

lindas car is out of warranty after 3/36 with only 21k on it , sits in garage under cover and is rarely driven took best in class at dallas autorama last month as part of the lonestar cougar club display only rauder in the show, mine is a daily driver by linda to and from round trip = 5 miles/day
has 35k on it and is running out of pre owned certified ford warranty this year, long before the 75k but the time has caught me. the other day linda started the car to let it warm up while she finished getting ready and the wipers came on and the headlights came on, the switches were in the off position and we do not use the auto lamp function ever, she turned everything on and off and the wipers continued in intermittent and the headlights stayed on. since she did not have time to jack with it she killed it opened the garage and jerked the cover off hers and fired it up and drove it to work :( oh my God i like to have s... when she called me and told me . so when i got home i grab my keys and sat in the drivers seat and looked at everything then started the car well cool no wiper action then i noticed the headlights were on but nodashlights so iturned on the lamp switch yep dashlights turned it off dashlights went out but headlights still on WTF so i get out pop the hood and do a walk around no tail lights no park lamps just beams so i lift the hood pop the fuse box cover do a visual follow the harness no rat damage or anything out of the ordinary then the wipers come on one stroke then stop so i grab the cell phone and while i am onthe horn to the ford guy the lights go out so im freakin by now poltergeist done ate my mm :bigcry: so i drive over to the ford guy and on the way the wipers are interitent then off ... then stop by the time i get there everything is normal and he checks funtion everything works as supposed to so he looks at me like i'm full of s...
he gives it one more go just to satisfy me and when he tilts the wheel down and up the dash lights come on and nothing he can do will make em go off so then the wipers stroke for him and i feel ??? relief not.
so they put me in a new f-150 for a day and run it through diagnostics next afternoon the tech nails it internal short in the wipermotor going to ground and feeding back through the auto lamp circuit or so they say. anyway new wipermotor and everything works as intended $50 ded. $21.95 for the rental (ins./diem+tax)
like i said warranty good thing

-DanWhat is the deal only at time of purchase. I bought my vehicle back in December out of bumper to bumper but with ford powertrain warranty would love to get esp?

This a/c repair is covered, anything after this is on my dime if I choose to not purchase additional coverage.

My point is, if I had realized how much mileage I would be putting on the Marauder,
I would have gotten more miles like 100,000 it would have been far less money than starting over with another warranty policy.
Not complaining!:P Grateful to have had a Marauder to drive the last four years!!!
