Well, I've tried 'em, and I just don't like 'em. I have two very low mileage Magnaflows that I would love to trade for a pair of stock mufflers. If anyone has a set of stockers in Very Good condition that they would like to trade for my Magnaflows, please let me know.
My car will be in Florida for the next few weeks, so its a good opportunity to take me up on the trade without a lot of freight costs. Just PM me if you are interested.

I will have to go look in my utility room and see if I can get at mine.

I think the delete tips and X-pipe you have account for most of your drone.....I have Magnaflow 18's and H-pipe and stock tips and no drone since most of the racket goes out back!!:bows:

I had an X-pipe and the sound was very irritating....raspy, high pitched and "zippy" sounding!!:argue::mad2:

Now mine has a very nice rumble cruising and very distinct burble and roar on acceleration......even the cops with CV's are amazed!!:D

If it were me I'd start with stock tips....I bet you'll be surprised!!

each post must be at least 10 characters long, so "PM'd" would be too short without something added. Many use numbers.

Now, my turn: What does "DUW" mean?

So an X pipe sounds different then an H pipe?

WAAAAYYY different.

H is low and muscley like the old days.

X is high and raspy, Nascar uses X.

I just hate loud stuff. I play in bands and that is about the most I can handle. I don't want it in my rides as well. I found that stock was fine, but the mods I've made have been an attempt to increase performance without a consideration for sound. Now I've dug my hole, I'd like to dig back out and I'll take the commensurate hit on performance. The headers and deletes stay, but the X-Pipe has been replaced by a magnaflow 2 in - 2 out, and the 18" mags are going to be replaced with the stock boxes. I'll see how I like that.

is there are performance difference between X and H?

Minimal. Variances between the two are less than variances in ambient air temps.

Bravo Rich.....

That has been my feeling all along and I REALLY like the H-pipe sound......especially in a "Luxo-Barge"!!!:bows::D
