I have just put on a set of 295/45/18 Nitto 555 tires. I have never owned Nittos before. Those of you who know more about this than me, what tire pressure do you run on the street?

35-38 psi is about where I've got 'em...but others have differing thoughts

I run 40 PSI in the backs and 45 PSI in the fronts......no unusual wear and grip is good!! You can run less if the ride is harsh but most tires perform best at about 90% of rated max pressure!!

I have the 305/45's on my rear.

I run 38-40 on the street, 18-20 at the track.

First off--good choice--I have about 20K on mine and they are still great for wear.....the 35 -38 is best ....and I'd check the air weekly at minimum...to keep any clearance problem away with shocks---unless you have narror type on the rears.......

I'm running 35psi in my fronts (255/45) and 40psi in my rears (295/45).

I had the Nitto 295 on back and the 245 up front

I kept the air pressure at about 40 all around, The backs wore straight and flat

The fronts went to hell when I forgot to check the pressure and they were at 30 lbs and got tore to bits

otherwise, my car became a lead sled with those tires, very predictable as to what direction you were going in.

at the end of their life the ride was very harsh.

The Nitto 555 compound is meant for extreme heat....do a burnout, and watch the black marks just blow away in the wind......other tires leave a lasting mark
(the tires get hard)
I got 27K out of my set
