As you may know, I've started the MyMarauder.com wiki as an attempt to build an accurate database of information on our Marauders. One area of confusion is the stall rating for 2004 Marauders. I've been told by some that that 2003 came with a ~2400 stall and the 2004 came with a ~2700 stall. However, others have said they're identical. Can anyone shed some light on this? BTW, I've posted this question to Steve Babcock as well, so hopefully he'll be able to chime in. Thanks!

Same as an 03, just a little beefier internals.

What does it stall at? Who knows!

Thanks, Zack! This is same as Darrin had concluded and was my understanding as well. I appreciate your feedback!

There are some internal differences in the 04 converters, but nothing that will change the stall. These differences only add extra strength and durability.

The big difference is that they added a thrust bearing. Earlier I siad in another thread the they changed the brazing on the 04 and that was inaccurate I think. From what I can find the differences in the 04 are the addition of a thrust bearing and the use of a different lockup piston.

The thrust bearing is a valuable change.

Thank you Darrin for the input! Hopefully we can flush out any misconceptions about the torque converter.
