I noticed last night after doing and oil change and installing silverstar fog lights, that my MM is missing a plastic cover in front of the driver's side front tire, the pass side has it.

It looks like its a splash guard to keep junk off the tire from getting thrown off the tire.

Anyone have one or maybe know of a junked MM that they could pick one off of?

Thanks guys!

You're not gonna believe this, but there never was one. It's the craziest thing, why they wouldn't have one, unless there was some engineering "fix" having to do with heat and that well stuffed engine bay. You'd wonder if there's one on the CV's/CVPI and regular GM's, and town cars. I'll have mine on the lift, in the next few days and report back. BTW, it did come with a Pro-guard installed, and I'll see if there's a Ford part number to share. :)

i was informed on MCM that there was not on any of the panthers.... so im thinking i will have to steal one from someone elses pass side and turn it backwards and put it on my MM

CV doesn't even have a cover on the bottom of the bumper cover. I guess the purpose of that cover is to reduce road spray to the fog lights.

I had wandered if mine was the only one with the missing wheel splash shield. How many of you have a cut out chunk of carpet missing on the passenger floor by the console?

Just do a search using key words such as "missing bumper cover"
Here is what I found immediately:

....there may be pics in one of those threads.
Otherwise just go out to you car and look inside and forward of the front left wheel well. Now go look at the right. See the difference.

As far as the carpeting, I used keywords "missing carpeting piece" and and only got three hits. However all three explain the issue, and one has a solution.;)

Inside your car, near the hump, under the dash, on the passenger side, there is a chunk of carpeting missing.

And I know why...;)

As CRUZTAKER said, every MM is "missing" the piece ahead of the driver's-side front wheel. Many are also missing the carpet piece...it's just the way they were built.

It's Ford's way of giving the MM ram air.
