I'm trying to get some of the Central Florida guys together this weekend at the Sanford Marina/River Walk. The weather should be great, and the time has changed to make it more worthwhile. We usually start meeting between 5:30 and 6:00. Lots of street rods and customs, music, drawings and a raffle.

Any newbies that have expressed interest in meeting up with our local guys are more than welcome to join in. We normally meet for a little while, then head to one of the restaurants on the waterfront for a few drinks and some dinner.

It's more about just getting together and having a good time, than it is a car show.

Hope to see some new faces this time.

Sanford is a nice place.
Michelle and I were there overnight when we were catching the Autotrain back home in April 06.

There was another Marauder in town then and I did speak to the owner...... you?

Hah! Youse guys missed it. We had six Marauders total. Talk about your funny stories....it seems the other Blue MM in the Orlando area got blamed by his wife for my driving habits recently. I don't care who ya are, that right there is FUNNY!! We also met signal_20 for the first time. Ate at a nearby restaurant, and, of course, there was beer.

Yes, as ckadiddle said, we did get to meet two newer members to the area, Paul, and Signal 20. It was nice to finally meet them both.

I also enjoyed the drive home. We had three MMs all traveling together on a nice cool evening, down a fairly busy highway. Running beside another MM with straight pipes at night, is pretty awesome. Wish I would have thought to get a sound clip, but I guess I was just having too much fun.

It was nice to finally meet all of you, too. Had a great time, as did my 3 year old. I've taught her to like cars almost as much as the puppy dogs some of the folks brought with them to the cruise in. Aside from the dogs, she was also taken with a blue and orange (gators) street rod with a battery-operated doll (wearing a seminole jersey) trapped and wriggling under the front tire. We've been teaching her to treat her dolls as she would a real baby - with love and tenderness. Then to see that! And all the adults laughing and then walking away . We've had some 'splaining to do - how do you explain college football rivalry to a 3 year old??

Oh, and to set the record straight (in case my wife ever reads this post) - it was a co-worker razzin' me for Pete's driving, not my wife. Of course, the primary reason they thought it was me, is they've witnessed my leadfoot before. :burnout:

Hope to get to see you all again soon. :D

Paul, your 3 year old has great taste. That car is really cool. I'm not into football, but the car is awesome. I may have pics of it somewhere, if so, I will post.

Glad she had fun.

Yeah, that was nice. We forgot to bring the still camera and video camera like we meant to. :(
