<html>A friend and I were curious, so we decided to play around with ABS/Traction Control (TC) issue. Knowing that a 25" tall tire in the rear would surely upset the system, we decided to install his 17" x 9" Enkei rims with 265/35R18 KDW NTs on the rear of the Marauder. That's his Lysholm-supercharged RX8 in the pictures; nice car and shares the same lug pattern (5 x 4.5") and offset (+50mm) as the Marauder. Anyway, the TC was triggered shortly after 20mph and it took just under a mile to trip the ABS. As you can see (and may have read in Magindat's post), the ABS, Brake, and Traction Control lights are lit. Once TC is disabled (the light stayed lit), the disabled ABS resulted in no unexpected behaviors (i.e., no performance decreases); of course, you can lock the brakes good if you stand on the pedal. Anyway, after thoroughly boring ourselves with the test, we decided to see if the Marauder's rears could fit on the RX8's front (i.e., 255/55R18s on a the front of an RX8). We had to have the car up in the air for it to even clear the fender, but made for a good picture. Enjoy!<br/><br/><table><tr><td colspan="2"><center><b>Comparison of GS-D3 and KDW NT (a.k.a., KDW2).</b></center></td></tr><tr><td><a href="http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/4/2/7/5/abs_tc_test-00.jpg" target="_blank"><img height="288" width="384" src="http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/4/2/7/5/abs_tc_test-00.jpg"></a></td><td><a href="http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/4/2/7/5/abs_tc_test-01.jpg" target="_blank"><img height="384" width="288" src="http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/4/2/7/5/abs_tc_test-01.jpg"></a></td></tr><tr><td colspan="2"><center><a href="http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/4/2/7/5/abs_tc_test-02.jpg" target="_blank"><img height="288" width="384" src="http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/4/2/7/5/abs_tc_test-02.jpg"></a></center></td></tr></table><br/><table><tr><td colspan="2"><center><b>BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW NT (a.k.a., KDW2) 265/35R18 on the Marauder.</b></center></td></tr><tr><td><center><a href="http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/4/2/7/5/abs_tc_test-03.jpg" target="_blank"><img height="384" width="288" src="http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/4/2/7/5/abs_tc_test-03.jpg"></a></center></td><td><center><a href="http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/4/2/7/5/abs_tc_test-04.jpg" target="_blank"><img height="288" width="384" src="http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/4/2/7/5/abs_tc_test-04.jpg"></a></center></td></tr><td><center><a href="http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/4/2/7/5/abs_tc_test-05.jpg" target="_blank"><img height="288" width="384" src="http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/4/2/7/5/abs_tc_test-05.jpg"></a></center></td><td><center><a href="http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/4/2/7/5/abs_tc_test-06.jpg" target="_blank"><img height="288" width="384" src="http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/4/2/7/5/abs_tc_test-06.jpg"></a></center></td></tr></table><br/><table><tr><td colspan="2"><center><b>Marauder dash lights for TC and ABS.</b></center></td></tr><tr><td><a href="http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/4/2/7/5/abs_tc_test-07.jpg" target="_blank"><img height="288" width="384" src="http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/4/2/7/5/abs_tc_test-07.jpg"></a></td><td><a href="http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/4/2/7/5/abs_tc_test-08.jpg" target="_blank"><img height="288" width="384" src="http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/4/2/7/5/abs_tc_test-08.jpg"></a></td></tr></table><br/><br/><b>Continued below...</b></html>

<html>As I mentioned above, the Marauder and RX8 share the same lug pattern (5 x 4.5") and offset (+50mm). His stock 18" x 8" rims are for sale ($125 each), <i><b>though I don't know whether they have enough load rating for a Marauder</b></i>.<br/><br/><table><tr><td colspan="2"><center><b>Stock 18" x 8" RX8 Rims For Sale.</b></center></td></tr><tr><td><a href="http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/4/2/7/5/mazda_rx8_rim-00.jpg" target="_blank"><img height="288" width="384" src="http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/4/2/7/5/mazda_rx8_rim-00.jpg"></a></td><td><a href="http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/4/2/7/5/mazda_rx8_rim-01.jpg" target="_blank"><img height="288" width="384" src="http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/4/2/7/5/mazda_rx8_rim-01.jpg"></a></td></tr></table></html>

Yeah, they do! It was just too bad the tires were way too big. For the most part, their stock rims are similar to ours (design, lug, and offset) , though I really don't know what weight they're rated for.
