My first of many CEL's! Had the car TWO DAYS.
P0153 - 02 sensor circuit slow response bank 2 sensor 1.
Awesome. I believe it has something to do with the exhaust on the car. Any ideas? I am sure a tune would erase it.

Contaminated HO2S sensor.
Exhaust leaks.
Shorted /open wiring.
Improper fueling.
MAF sensor.
Deteriorating HO2S sensor.

What are the beter manufacturers for o2 sonsors ? How often do they need to be replaced ?

IF you had an Xcal2 you could read and reset your own codes as well as those of most other Ford products with the OBDII system. That's one of the cool features I forgot to mention. I had the same code on a 2000 mustang GT. Consulted with a couple mechanics. They told me to reset the code and see if it pops up again. In my case the code never came back. Seems it was just a temporary condition.
Find a local Marauder buddy with an xcal2 to read and reset that specific code. If it comes back again, then you probably have a bad sensor that needs replacing. Since you know someone has previously modified your exhaust system, it's also possible it could be related to those mods in some way I guess.
I am just relating my experiences, other folks here are far more mechanically inclined than I am.
I bought my wife a Marauder with 48000 miles on it at the beginning of the year, I am still holding my breath to see if it will " fall apart". :) Still scares me a little that I didn't see it in full daylight until after I owned it. I was happy to see that everything appeared to have been left stock on it though. I want to make my own mods!

You need to find out the tune status of this car.
Where did you buy it and can you contact the previous owner? You need to find out what they did for a tune, if anything, and if it's still on the car's PCM.
Alternatively you need to get a local reputable tuner to look at and if necessary, tune the car.
Having headers and exhaust warrants a tune if it's still running the stock tune. You should atleast get A/F checked to be sure you're not going to run lean with the extra airflow through the motor.
I know hindsight is 20/20 but for future reference on a modern car with mods such as headers and exhaust, tuning is a question I'd have for previous owner, and if at a dealer and they didn't know I'd get money off for them not knowing becuase you'd have to pay to get the car checked on a dyno to ensure the tune loaded on the PCM is safe for the mods equipped.
This is why often times modded cars will sell for less or take longer to sell than a stock vehicle. People are leary about buying someone elses shoddy mod work or unknowns as to whats bolted on a car. A well documented modded car with a forthright owner could be a good exception.
Also, if the car had a tune built for the mods and/or headers, and previous owner returned it to stock to make a few extra bucks selling their tuner on the side before selling the car, well, I say that's not the right thing to do. If the car is otherwise stock it's no big deal but if the tune is needed to make the car run properly or safely than that's wrong.

This is normally solved with a tune

Again I would contact previous owner for tune details, and if that's not an option I'd get it to a reputable tuner ASAP.

I wonder why it popped up now? The car is used and came with headers - i am assuming it was able to be inspected. The guy must of paid people to get his stickers.
Its werid that it shows up now and not when the dealer took it in - unless they just clear it and not tell anyone. Is there a way to see how times a code has been cleared?
I doubt it - I will have to get a tune soon.

If the tune was removed then he wouldn't have had an issue. I'm not sure how fast that CEL would come up, but clearing it would be pretty easy just pull the battery terminal for 15 min.
Again I do not know how quickly this CEL would come up without a tune to compensate for it.

Yea with my WRX the code would pop up after 30 miles or so like a charm.
The dealer took the code "literaly" and replaced the 02 sensor and the code is cleared. But I wonder if it will pop up again?
As long as I get it inspected ASAP I am fine with it, since I know a tune can clear it up.

Still this may mean there is not tune on the car with the Kooks do a search many have required retunes and found their cars running lean. This is BAD. This is blow the motor at WOT potentially bad. That's why you need to nail down what is on your PCM vs what mods are on the car.

As I said before, in one of these many threads, I think the dealer re-tuned the car. Just a guess....
Prior owner may have the tuner and left the car tuned and running well. Dealer got it and 'updated' the tune and frigged things up.
Eric-Blk, get that thing in to a tuner or get in touch with the prior owner. Yur' gonna' have more issues if'n you don't....

But in the meantime, you may do more bad than good. Just trying to look out for you Bro. Not sure if you looked at all the talk on headers lately, but they can lean out your engine. Lean is REAL bad for our engines.
I have Kooks on the way, and know I have to richen things up before running to hard. You can quickly blow your engine if you run lean and hard.
Honestly, this is not something that can 'wait'.
Try to get in touch with the prior owner. If he/she put that much into the car, they are likely a pretty good egg and will do what they can to get you up and running right. In the dealers defense, these cars can be tricky, and when you mod them, they are even worse, especially without the proper tools.
Did you ever check out what gear ratio you have?

check for air leaks around the throttle position sensor(TPS). Or any where fuel is introduced to the throttle. Clearing codes H21 may require it be done twice without interuption between the 2 (clearings)
Altitude... was it (the car) moved far?
say from low elevation to higher elevation? The car may be tuned rich or lean on purpose... for the old owners location. And the new air doesnt sit well with her.

you need an o2 sensor. passenge side upstream ( right after the manifold) replace it and clear the light and you will be all set
