Hello everyone i just installed my new tires and wheels i take pics later and post them. I used the search function about ride height questions and it seems that on a stock wheel ford put the ride hieght at 30" on a stock 28.6" tire so thats about a 1 1/2" right now i have the back full up about 31" and it looks cool but very high my new tire is a nitto 420 255/55-18 so thats about 29" should i keep the rear height about 30 1/2" when running and it should drop to about 30 when parked ?

Loosen the ride height sensor on the trailing bar driver side middle to the height you want. Don't go to far or it will bottom out.:burnout:

About how many inches should there be between the tire and the body on a stock setup?

I just took the mm for a ride and it drives great i went with 30 1/2" when running so it settles to 30" when off loooks great. Of course when i was done driving it was too dark to take pics of the new setup, so i post pics when i take some.

New setup

Boss Motorsport #328 chrome rims 18x8 40mm offset with mercury godhead wheel centers
Front tires Nitto NT 555 255/45-18
Rear tires Nitto 420 255/55-18

looks great and still kept the marauder look

It's very easy to do with a lift might take you a little longer if your jacking but to adjust is a easy process just check out this post it has good directions

I am the resident expert on lopsided side to side ride height, not so much front to rear. I had to get several low mileage air bags and swap them around until I found a pair that had the same inflated height, to get rid of my 3/4" deviation from left to right rear ride heigh, which is not uncommon with these cars. They are just rubber crimped around a foot, and there is obviously quite a bit of variance in what their inflated heights are. But that has nothing to do with what he's doing here.

I would "level" the car like most guys do. The raked look may look cool, but with a 4200 lb nose heavy tank, tilting the nose down even further is not helping handling.

You can do it on your back in the driveway (if your'e skinny enough :P) in the matter of moments with 8 and 10mm socket.

I think it's 8 and 10....?

Make sure to mark the existing location of the slide with a sharpie.

A mere 1/16" either way makes a big change.

Hop in, turn the ignition, jump out out and watch her move up or down.;)
