Need help with Marauder Font:
My wife would like a front license plate frame with the word "Marauder" on it. No problem so far. I can get a LP frame from AutoExpressions.
However, I need help to identify the FONT associated with the way Marauder is printed in the Ford literature and imprinted on our rear bumpers --- it has a certain slant to the right that I would like to mimic on the License Plate frame. I know, I am Anal to a fault, but then I drive a MM and a Corvette.
BTW, AutoExpressions will engrave anything you want on your LP fram with any font you provide.
Thaks for helping me out.

Very good question!
I wonder if someone at Mercury can help us with that. The trick will be finding some one there that can and will help us. Perhaps a fellow MercuryMarauder.net member with contacts at Mercury do some checking? The AutoExpression source sounds like a good one. The font definitely seems like one of a kind.

The guys at ssinserts.com or Bob White decals certainly will know. Does soemone have a relationship with either of them?

If someone tracks it down and sends it to me, I'll happily make it available for download.

Not sure, but would the following help any?

Taken of my speedometer a few months ago, I still have the original large image somewhere on my hard drive, and could probably take a much better quality one if need be.
I can provide a 12 megapixel TIFF file but that would take up about 35 meg. I can send it out on CD, though.

Why not buy the letters form Bob White and put them on the plate?? Just a thought. Use a plate that the dealers put on and just turn it around. If you don't have one I got lots of them in black or white. Just PM me your address and I will mail it right out to you.

Steve,
I'll try sending what I copy from your post above. What I would really like is the name of the font so that I can specify it to AutoExpressions.com for the billet aluminum, black-anodized license plate frame to be engraved.
BigDogJim,
Thank you for your kind expression of blank LP frames that you have access to. Unfortunately, my track record with externally applied vinyl letters is not very good. Vinyl letters in the inside of a car seem to work fine for me, but not when I apply them outside. Put silver letters in the rear indents of my Vette and they worked loose -- got 'em painted an and voila, no more problems.
Thank you everyone for your suggestions. All of them are good ones. I'm not sure if Bob White would share any info about the font even though AutoExpressions.com is in a different line of business that is Bob Whiht. I can give it a try if using Steve's info from above doesn't work.

Follow-up Info:
I have sent an email off to Bob White decals and inquired about the type font they use for the Marauder graphics. I have also tried various type fonts that I have access to and found one that is reasonably close to how Marauder appears in the Red and Black above. Arial Black, bold, italics works OK. Try this in an MS Word document and let me know what you all think.
Thanks, Gordon B.
