Here is one of the reasons why the Marauder runs lean.

The gas tank has a steel basket with a 1/2" hole facing the front of the car at WOT all the gas runs to the back of the tank, and some could run out of the hole, there is no way to get gas in the basket during this event, even with the dual or single pump it will do the same thing, there has to be a better way, one idea would be to put a smaller hole in each end of the basket with like L channels to catch the gas flowing around the basket and channel it in the basket, but I am not an engineer, but Paul along with Jerry and I will look into this. The other issue is even with a 1/2 a tank of Fuel the basket would be submerged but at WOT the gas could run over the edge and be pushed back against the tank, also there is clearly a restriction on the stock Fuel filter and lines, and we are addressing this issue to. But the dual pump is a must for any S/C kit. For now my advice to any Marauder owner is don't run the car hard with a 1/4 tank or less. So I am never bored with this car I sure do enjoy the challenge.

Here is Cobra Dual fuel pump assembly and is now available for your Marauder. Produced in a co-operative venture by Paul's High Performance and Reinhart Automotive and Jerry, the new pump assembly delivers enough fuel pressure to maintain over 500 RWHP.

This pump will work with Supercharged and non Supercharged Marauders.

We are presently developing a single fuel pump assembly for the N/A Marauder and upgraded fuel filter and lines for both platforms.
We are both convinced that this is a critical upgrade required for anyone who plans on anything other than daily driving,

THIS IS A MUST FOR THE HIGH PERFORMANCE DRIVER !!!

Dennis: Can you comment on what will be involved with the install (difficulty, etc.)?

Sometimes I just want to drive down to your place ( which I can do- thats what makes it so tempting) and just say--Have your way with my MM-- up to _____ HP ==will have to fill in the space later.....which takes in to account all the neccessary
up-grades necessary to cover the up graded performance that is done----best to buy another lotto ticket tonight --need all the help I can get--just know alot of you out there are thinking the same thing--somewhat said here in so many words already----just the same--- you may want to think of moving to a bigger
shop...be looking cause--it seems the future is brighter ..

Well, the install is not hard at all, as long as you run the car almost empty, you can install the pump without dropping the tank, but I really want to up grade the fuel filter and the lines I am not saying its mandatory for a N/A Marauder, but I am putting it on my car, if you really look at the fuel delivery system on this car it's marginal at the least for N/A and really so for any type of forced induction. It wont be that expensive to run a dash 8 from the tank to the rails with a good high volume fuel filter, that can be removed and cleaned. I did this set up on a 97 Mark 8 that made 538 to the wheels, and my 96 that makes 558 RWHP. This new dual and single fuel pump assemblies set deeper into the tank so the car even with low fuel wont have a tendency to draw air do to gas being forced to the back of the tank at WOT.

Here we go again.....seems like every other week you have something to help improve our cars.....We might have to set up an MM.net Time Share.....go to Jax for a couple days drop of the Marauder..hang out at the MM.net timeshare...and FLY all the way home!

Nice job Dennis!

For an NA car is the lean condition only @WOT when 1/4 tank or less?

For an SC car is the lean condition only @WOT when 1/4 tank or less?

The lean condition has been found at more than a 1/4 tank on the S/C car the reason for that is the car is accelerating much faster and harder than a N/A car, now as I said this is one reason the other issue is the lines and filter just look under the car and you will clearly see what I am trying to describe. We are working on a upgrade for this as well.
