Well some of you know how I really pushed my luck last saturday and something happened again yesterday. My friend and I were making a short film for his film class and he needed a sound effect for burning rubber. My truck was going to be used, but the Blazer is gone and the 65 still won't start. I got the Marauder out there and did a burnout for the tire sound... little did I know it caused a problem. I caused so much smoke that the fire department was called and a truck was in the street soon as I parked. I told everyone to get back inside my place now! We watched and the police showed up too trying to figure out what happened. My Marauder was in the driveway and all.

I guess smoke got in someones smoke detector and called the fire department and for the car being quiet from inside a house and seeing all the smoke who could blame the average person?

I wanted to confess and tell them everything is okay and there was no fire, but my buddys talked me out of it. Everyone was gone in 20 minutes, but a burnout so bad that the fire department was called... that's something I will never forget! :burnout:

All we have is audio, I wish we had a video because it was really something else. Again i didn't intend for that much "sound." ;)

This is exactly what ended the PTM's on Long Island!!!
The last one we had in Dec '06 brought out more Riverhead PD than I thought they even had. Someone called the fire dept. for the "smoke" and the first patrol car to roll up found us and called out the entire force - they wanted to impound cars and arrest people but stopped when I told them we were on private property.
There are still a few threads with pictures and videos in the Northeast forum under titles w/PTM in them.

Way to go, Dom. Remember my telling you about some important lessons that cost very little, while seemingly insignificant ones cost a ton?

This was one of the cheap ones, and we all got a good laugh ...way to go, young man. :D

I award one ...:trophy:

You mean I have to do it again?

I've been real lucky lately so I better not push it... maybe tomorrow. ;)

I had the same thing happen when I seafoamed my boat. The fire truck almost hosed me through the damn smoke. I actually was threatened with an "air polution fine" if I ever did it again. So now to sea foam my boat I go to my parents place.

I don't understand what does seafoam mean? It must cause smoke, but how?

Yes SeaFoam causes the engine to smoke alot. http://www.seafoamsales.com/

I run it through my boat 3 times a season.
