hey guys,. i put in a performance chip a while back and i started to notice if i just tap the gas i hear like a arching sound or like a sparking sound. so i took the chip out set the computer and i noticed it idles a bit rough. i changed the plugs and it still idles rough. what do you think i damaged.

what did the plugs look like? oily, brown, damaged? were all the plugs the same?

i got the plugs from ford. they where all the same. as you face the car engine the right side look like it took more of a beating than the left. but they werent to bad.

Well what you are describing could have been spark knock, if the engine is running rough I would have it checked with a WDS or you can run a compresion check on all cylinders, start with cylinders 5/6/7/8 on the drivers side these are the furthest away from the inlet fuel #7 is usualy th problem cylinder hopefully this wont be your case, call me if you have any questions or if I can help.

That's what my stock engine does! I get missing and popping in the radio when I move the pedal above idle.
The dealer could not duplicate it, but they are very curious...
I think it is water in the plug wells...

Nope on the engine wash... I've only had the hood up twice.
