Hey guys...I am about to order a tune and 4.10s for my 03 Marauder... In May I am also looking into spending my stimulous check on a PI 3500...I was wondering if any of you could give me a rough estimate pricewise of what the gears and T/C will be to install... I can afford to buy the mods but i dont want to find out it costs 10,000 $$ to install the parts after I buy them...

Car payment: 250$/Month
Car Insurance: 100 $/Month
Premium fuel: 150$/Month

Gears would be in the neighborhood of $250 to install and about $300 for the T/C install.
Make sure you stop at the dealer for some friction modifier to add to the gear oil and also make sure you use nothing but Mercon V in the tranny.
Other then that, you'll be fine.

My $.02, start with the 4.10 gears & SCT XCal-2 tuner and wait in the T/C. Gears will run $200 plus install will be about $300. Since you have an 03, you might need new axles. Mine needed replacing. They could run another $100 each. A tuner is about $400 which you will need anyway to correct your speedo.

What do you have only collision on your car? I can't complain, I pay $230 a month for two vehicles and $380 for my payment.

No....i have to have full coverage bc i have a loan on the car...I can't believe how expensive some of the other guys car insurance is....I don't think i could afford 250-300 for just insurance...I don't know how it's so cheap...The Marauder was the first car I ever bought myself so my parents helped me out buy just getting insured through their company...It wasn't that expensive so I never really asked many questions about it I guess now that I think about it....Maybe its cheap bc I'v never gotten in an accident or any traffic tickets minus a few parking tickets(knock on wood)...I also got a steal of a bargin on the car bc the guy who owned it was going through a divorce and had to get rid of it...It was horrible timing for the guy bc it was when gas prices were getting out of control and no one was lookin to buy a V8 and he didnt have the time to find that right buyer willing to give him what he wanted for it....so he sold it to me for 12,000....I felt like I hit the lottery bc the car is in great shape with only 45,000 miles on it....I almost felt bad buying it from him for so cheap...If i felt like being a jack@$$ I prolly could have turned around and tried to get atleast 15,000 or more scince I have the time to wait for the person willing to pay for it....so idn u tell me why me insurance is so cheap....not that im complaining...I think I actully pay like 116 a month

Yeah you got a great price, but you helped him out with a quick sale. Stop feeling guilty for it, OK? Take good care of it. Your good driving record plus buying a full size sedan with lots of safety equipment built in got you reasonable insurance rates.

Prices for install vary from shop to shop, depending on how much the shop charges per hour. I bought my gears from adtr.net. Very good website with decent pricing. I was quoted up to 800 bucks for the gears to be installed but had them done for 250ish IIRC. Like I said, call places and ask. Same thing for the TC.

$307/month for the car
$150/month insurance ( just dropped from $350 a month, 3 yrs experience!)
$250/month gas

i am doing the same mods this month to my car.... some shops will charge you about $400 to install the gears, just shop around for a trusted shop. as for the tune, they will all cost around the same $400, but it is prefernce when it comes to which one is better.

age makes a huge difference.... insurance companies love us young guys wallets, they assume the are endless by what they charge us for full coverage.

When you start modifing you definatly run the risk of breaking more parts and/or installing things wrong. Wait till you have proper funds or she's not your only mode of getting around. I learned this the hard way at 19 with my mustang.
