I kinda like the rocker switch that allows me to make my window go all the way down by 'clicking' it.

Does anyone know if i can order some extra clicking rocker switches to swap out the other switches? Will it work? Does anyone know the part number??

I'm not sure it's possible, without some serious rewiring. Again, the not-so-detailed Ford wiring manual leaves a lot to be desired, info-wise, but it looks like the driver's window control 'center' is set up to provide an express-down only function. Would be a big job to integrate it with the existing electronics, I think, and would require someone with greater knowledge of how that module is designed.

I too would love such a feature, with all the underground parking I have to deal with. You can blame the gov't for this, though... as it is, with manual up-control, people STILL manage to get their heads and limbs caught in windows as they are powered "up". http://repo.jackmoves.com/albums/album65/Darwin_says_Hi.jpg

Poke, let me know if you get this to work because I was thinking the same thing just the other day.

Of course, getting them ALL on one remote button would be nice for the hot days, but that's probably just a pipe dream. :)

Thanks,

You CAN buy aftermarket kits that allow you to make any window (or sunroof) one touch open AND closed. It splices right into the existing wiring and uses your OE switches. I used them on an old BMW I had. I bet JC Whitney sells it but I bought them from a BMW parts house out of Texas called BMP. They are available in a one window or two window kit. The two window kit is about $100. You'll need two of these to do all four windows. I believe it will only work from the drivers door (window switches on the other doors will function normally). They are at 1-800-648-7278. They call it a "one touch window" kit.

what i am wondering if the existing switch mechanism itself contains the 'brains' of the 1-touch down or if it is under the hood.

Don't know about the factory ones, but the aftermarket kit does it with brains "under the hood" as you put it (in this case probably more like in the door pannel or under the dash ... in the case of my old BMW it was in the center console since that is where the window switches were located and there was room there for me to put the new wiring there too .... looked like about the size of a standard automotive relay as I recall)
