'03 Trilogized for sale

Hate to do it, but circumstances and responsibility are forcing me. Got two boys, both needing cars and insurance coverage so I need to do the right thing for now. My 2003 Silver Birch, 51657 miles is up for sale. I'm not pressured immediately to do this, so I'll leave it to the brotherhood here to word of mouth things so hopefully someone deserving of the car gets it. If nothing happens after a week or so I'll post an ad locally. The minor mods are Flowmasters, JLT CAI, Deadpedal, and Trilogy with stock pulley. The idle pulley tensioner is new as is a 6 rib gatorback belt. Paint and interior are excellent. I do not have the heated seat option, sunroof or spoiler. I do have traction control, do have the trunk organizer, do have the 6 CD changer in the trunk. Boost gauge pod on the A-pillar. New tires on the rear (slightly larger than stock) and two KDW's off the rear with about half tread left if you want them. There are only about 4000 miles on the supercharger. Asking $18,000 which I believe is fair based off Kelly Blue Book plus the upgrades. You'd be hard pressed to find a similar used one and then mod it to this level for this price. Thanks. Worth and market are conflicting things. I'm trying to be fair about things without undercutting myself unreasonably. Let's face it, our cars aren't econo-boxes, and gas prices are not dropping. I can't in good faith expect someone to pay face value on mods that have wear on them, nor pay an outrageous price on something that essentially isn't considered economically feasible anymore. I'm not loosing here, but I'm not gonna rape someone over it either just to say I got every penny back out of it.

You hit that one right! The dealers I talked to either didn't want the car or tried to low ball me big time when I was considering trading my DTR last month. Now that nice weather is here and after my most recent repair, shes staying with me for the foreseeable future.

Just thought I'd add this plug for any new guys who didn't know. Insurance on an '03 sees VINs as a regular Grand Marquis, where as 04's come up as a Marauder. Some savings to be had due to that.

very well stated. I hope this car stays in the MM.net brotherhood. it is an awesome deal on a car that doesn't need to be a high mileage DD, but is very fun to drive. congrats to the next buyer. :beer:

by the way, is the intercooler reservoir suppposed to be that low with coolant ( "drain back")?

I was so serious about buying this Trilogy#157 car that I had flight info ready, car insurance changed, and a bank loan approved.

After reviewing our long term plans of possibly buying a different home in the future, I decided that I cannot buy this car. I know that I might regret missing such an opportunity to buy a Marauder in such great condition & price. I really hated making the phone call to Robert "usafsniper" to inform him that I would not be buying his car. I appreciate his patience and time with all of my questions.
