I am new to the forum but I don't drive an MM. I do think the MM is a great car and would like to own one. I do like the MM DOHC 4.6. and the 4R70W. I have recently installed an 04 engine and trans. In my 65 Mustang fastback. I have run into a few obstickles but all has turned out well. Now I have decided to install an 04 Cobra supercharger.

The first problem is I need to reverse the Alt. and come up with a bracket for the supercharger belt tensioner. I have talked with Jerry Barnes and he has said he would try to help so I am waiting for him to get back to me. The second is a question. Does anyone know if the mustang crank pulley off a cobra will fit the balancer and pulley that is on the MM?

Thanks for your help

Not sure about the Cobra, might want to see if a Mach 1 will work.

Aftermarket Cobra blower pulley fits the Marauder balancer, not sure about the OEM Cobra pulley since it has some kind of support and bearing mechanism which attaches to the timing cover. Alternator and tensioner brackets are custom for the Trilogy kit, it's probably easier in the early 'stang chassis to just swap to a Cobra timing cover and associated hardware/accessory mounts.

We looked at using the Cobra timing cover and everything Cobra but I can't put the Alt. down on the left side as it hits the upper A arm so the only place is to reverse it like the MM Trilogy kit. Had I decided to go with a supercharger in the beginning I could have positioned the engine a little further forward.

It's no real big problem It would save me some work in fabing the brackets. However I need to find out if the Cobra supercharger crank pulley will fit if not I will have to go with another crank harmonic balancer from something else.

Thanks again for your help

The aftermarket pulleys will work. I've got one I'll be selling soon. I bought it then changed plans on my setup.

In a sense unless you already have parts amassed you are much like a MM owner wanting a supercharger - though teh car is different, the kit may work out for you.

Have you considered just getting a Trilogy kit? It would require a bit of fabbing to mount some things but on the engine side of things it may work great for you...

Looked at the Trilogy kit It would work great except for two things. I got a great price on a new 04 Cobra charger complete with manifold, inercooler, throttle body and injectors. The other is I want the intake comming off the passenger side. If I can get the alt. bracket and the bracket for the supercharger belt tensioner I will be set. Hopefully Jerry will be able to help me with that. If not will have to fab up myself.

There are some pic's here.

Sweet F-250. If you ever consider selling it, post up here. I need to add a stable mate for my '94 F-150!

Thanks on the F250, I bought this one new in 97 now have 191,000. I've added larger down pipe, Stage I injectors and a 4 position Tony Wildman chip.
I don't think I will ever want to sell but if I do I will keep you in mind.
