I can't post the Map, but the idea would be a round trip from
A: Vancouver, British Columbia
B: Calgary, Alberta
C: Cheyenne, Wyoming
D: Chicago, Illinios
E: St. Thomas, Ontario
F: Washington, DC
G: Jacksonville, Florida (and a visit to Dennis)
H: Dallas, Texas
I: Las Vegas, NV
J: Ontario, California (my Uncle lives nearby)
K: Up the coast back to Vancouver, BC
13059KM (8111miles) 126 hours (if done without stopping) Not that we wouldn't be stopping.
Such a Rally would have to take weather into consideration, snow, rain, tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes...
It might be impossible.

Do it, whether anyone goes with you or not.

This is a great idea but way too much distance. We could do it in different regions like florida to montreal canada, texas to north dakota and so on. I know I would be up to do this:burnout:

There is the star route option.
Start in five different areas and travel to one Marauderville meet location in the middle.
The problem with a big circle rally is the amount of money it would cost. Figure 10 nights along the way, sight seeing at the stops, Gas money at $4 a gallon, about $2500 right there.
A meet in the middle somewhere might be a better idea, although that would leave the St Thomas tour out. If only St. Thomas was in Winterpeg.
But a Marauder ville rally to meet, somewhere with no more than 2 nights to get there. 3 on site and 2 to get back.
Again North America might be too big even for this. I also thought maybe we should have 3-5 Marauderville meets. All at the same time but in different places. Say NW-USA or Western Canada, NE-USA or St. Thomas, SE-USA and SW-USA. Have a dinner on the same day with a Video Conference. Then maybe a Notebook Forum link with a track day. Then cruise/Rally back home.
Some places do Video Conferencing, but tend to be expensive. If a meeting place is arranged we may be able to set up our own. Broadband, Projector Screen, and Computer should do the trick. Not perfect but as a Friend in the industry told me the other day it is easy, if you have the stuff.
Also alot cheaper than $2,500,000 gas for 1000 Marauders. Unless we can get Esso Exxon to sponser us with free gas.

Even though the MCM and this site are sometimes at odds I think a stop in the Motor City is a must. This is a long shot but a very good Idea.

the star route lends itself to the St Louis event. why not plan mini-power cruises from set locations to, and or from Marauderville 6?
I for one would love to drive the circle route, and will likely do so when I retire, but its gonna be a while before that happens for me.

I don't see how you're going to avoid the Detroit area and all of us Motor City Marauders.
Even though the MCM and this site are sometimes at odds I think a stop in the Motor City is a must. This is a long shot but a very good Idea.
I second that! and St Thomas is a hop skip and a jump over the river/lake/whatever to Canada. and by the map, we'd only have to take route 401 instead of I 69, if we used that route that is . . .

I always thought MCM was just a break away regional group...

8000 miles at $3.61 ( price of 93 octane here) at 23mpg
about $1255 in gas alone. not to mention the oil change and food.
great ideo but not practical.
i wanted to do this rally----
