03~05 Svt 4.6 Oil/water Intercooler

Does anyone know were I can find an SVT block mounter oil intercooler. My ultimate goal is then to also find a remote filter mounting kit that has the adapter for the oil cooler 820S filter to a remote chassis mounter FL1A filter.

I have looked all over with no success. help!!

Hmmm...
sounds like the one which came stock on the
01-03 Mustang Cobra (Supercharged)

It mounted directly to the block. and incoperates the water inlet to the block.
I do not know the part # not where you can purchase one....

Anyone else have any info to help out...?

I am looking for the Stock Oil Cooler/adapter from a 01-03 Cobra mustang.
It is a one piece oil cooler and and engione block wwater inlet.

Ford is required to produce parts up to 5 years after the Vehicle was discontinued.

Ford uses or used to use a part like that for fleet service/Interceptors.
They were not known for their longevity and mixed oil and water when they failed!
I don't know if the SVT part is the same or any better but I'm not sure I would want jacket water cooling my crankcase oil.
Have you considered one of the oil to air coolers? This would work perfect w/remote filter mount!

I've seen pics of the part he's talking about, although I usually see it attributed to 03-04 cobra's.

my problem is Im not sure what to order...
Maybe its on the 03-04 Cobras.... The supercharged ones....
I saw one on Ebay one time but it sold 4 I could decide if I wanted it or not...

I've even thaught about using a remote mount and a oil to water- to air cooler that would use the old vortec intercooler water pump I replaced for a lightining pump... btu I was hoping to keep it simple for now... hence why im looking to just get the stock Cobra cooler... and atleast see if it will fit...

I still plan to utilize a remote mount oil filter to give me the space required at the frame....

but I think its an older more trouble prone type...
I belive the (Terminator) used a newer more reliable type...
but its basically what im looking to use with a quality gasket....

I really dont think you need an Oil cooler.
You can always add it later.

We are pulling the engine this weekend and hoped to get the oil cooler in, sandblast it, and powder coat it all before install...
worese comes to worse it can be installed later...

I have done some research and found these part numbers and pricing...

From what I have seen so far with my oil temp gauge....I don't think you will need an oil cooler unless you do road racing??:confused:

My oil temps have not exceeded my water temps and mostly stay around 185* at 78 MPH with ambient at 80* for the last two days!!:beer:

If it runs much cooler you may have moisture problems as the PCV cannot remove condensation unless you get the oil temp up!!??:shake:

You can't use that unless you make some modifications to your frame. I have a couple of those sitting around the shop. I didn't see Tom's post.
