Sorry can't help you with the paint cracks on the top...
But, regarding the overspray on the front end...Simply use a clay bar to take it all off...Not hard at all...
Side note: When I bought my car, it had over spray over the ENTIRE car...Lights, wheels, windows, every body panel, yellow dots everywhere!!!...It was so bad, the whole car felt like sand papper!!! I'm sure, that's why no one bought it, before me...
Several passes with different clay bars (course, medium, fine) cleared it all up...Not a yellow dot left, and smooth as silk...

I've seen yellow paint that looks like over-spray on cars before, but it was always after the paint crew had been painting the stripes on the road, and that stuff is hard to get rid of.

Ok as far as the yellow overspray goes go to a paint shop and ask for an agressive meguiars clay bar. Right now you have the miles and if that does not work gets some 2000 grit sandpaper a wet sand then meguiars #1 then #2 then #7 then #9 and finish with #26 wax. The roof is rust dont ask me how that happened but that roof has rust so an entire repaint of the roof is what you need. It is hard to spot fix black and then blend clear.

Ok sorry you have a blue but I would still have the shop take the entire roof down as the rust is coming from the bottom so you could spot fix those problems and then a couple weeks later have some others "pop" up.

Bad paint is a way of life for most marauder owners. I suffered for about 1 1/2 years till I got a complete repaint that took 5 weeks and cost over $8,000. Ford pick up the tab for it. I am one of very lucky ones :)

Aaron,
I had an almost identical looking defect pop up in the driver's side corner of the roof, right near the windshield molding. I tried sanding it down and touching it up, took care of the rust, but the spot is still noticable.
+1 on the SHO paint. E-Dubb detailed my "new" '97 SHO last week, and the paint on it looks great.

I believe Mothers clay bar is the "fine" type...Get the 3M (course)one...That's the one I used and it took it (yellow over spray) off, after several passes...
My over spray was a marine grade paint (boat harbor), so the 3M one should work great for you...Got mine from NAPA

thanks for all the input guys.. i'll go out hunting for the 3m course bar. see what happens. i've noticed my front bumper is not so good either. lots of what look like bug bodys smashed in the paint.. maybe i can have the roof bumper spoiler and my custom grill all painted at the same time.

that would be no.. try once every two weeks, it gets dusted every morning and touch up cleaned when needed. my girl is always shining like a new penny.
i've almost had it for a year now i'm thinking the chicago winters where not good to my car before i got it. :-(
