I've been meaning to post pix of this for sometime now, but I didn't get around to actually taking any pix until today. Just to show you how long I put this off, I de-badged the trunk probably 4 years ago, filled in the cut-out on the spoiler about 3 years ago, didn't get around to remounting the spoiler until last year, and I finally took some pix today. Talk about world class procrastination, I could win some kind of award or something! Anyways, better late than never. Check these out.

Thanks guys. To fill the spoiler, I got a big block of balsa wood and cut it to fit in the notch for the badge on the spoiler. I used balsa because it is so soft and easy to work with. After I got it to fit the notch, I epoxied the block of balsa into the notch on the spoiler. When the epoxy cured, I shaped the balsa to the contour of the spoiler using 36 grit sandpaper. Once the contour was right, I coverd the entire notch area with fiberglass cloth and resin. Once that hardened, a little sanding, a little painting, and voila! A spoiler without a badge notch.

Not a BIG fan of spoilers, but yours looks great! Filling in the notch made all the differance.

I had to show my Ford paint and body shop guy this link. He didn't know it existed and thought I was crazy until he saw it painted and installed.

Thanks again everyone. Yeah, I had to fill in that notch after de-badging the trunk, it just didn't look right. I'm glad to see others besides myself thought up painting the reverse and tail lights. I don't know about other parts of the country, but here in Dearborn there are a lot of Marauders running around (well, I do live only about 2 miles from Ford's world headquarters), so I had to do something to set my Marauder apart. But I wanted something subtle, something that only another Marauder owner would notice.
