It's called a "pigtail". Someone sent me the part number but I can't find it. I remember it went for like $18.
Hope this helps a little.

I've got a wiring manual coming and I hope the part number will be in there.

I had this problem on my drivers side a couple years ago. If they are the same, the Ford number then was: 3W3Z-15A211-AA. I just checked on line and that is the part # still. $52.70 each, ouch. Mine was replaced under warranty.

Is there a difference from drivers to passenger side? I've got a drivers side plug. I cut the body harness, so it has the body harness, plug, then the like foot long cable that has the weatherproof plug for the fog light.

drivers side only.

i do have just the body harness plug end for the passenger side.

I don't think there's a difference. I'll take either one.

mike, you need the actual wiring on the body harness? or just the foot long wire that has two plugs on it?

Now both my fog lamps are out, I know I need at least one new plug, maybe both.
THEY WERE FIXED UNDER WARRANTY A FEW YEARS AGO.
These are the kinds of problems I hate, fix it and fix it again.

They are one in the same for lft and rt.

I had the same intermitten/faulty fog light problem. I noticed that the electrodes in the pigtail hardshells were corroded. I cut the pigtails out and wire the ends together. Problem solved. Now I also have/had the luxury of working at FoMoCo and just found a scrap harness and cut of both male and female ends in case I wanna put the pigtails back on.

Also the $50+, $70+ prices are for the harness from the main body harness to the fog light.

The $18+ pigtail just replaces the ends of the harness(ie the part you connect) They usually start with a WPT number in the Motorcraft parts catalog.

This is a bit late for this thread but for those who find this in a search, Rock Auto also carries the pigtails for pretty reasonable prices.

Barry the ones that came off (and what I was referring to on) my Marauder were like WPT-602 but black. The on that clips into the fog light socket are like WPT-105.

I had the same problem and i crimped on female connectors and shrink wrapped them individually and then shrink wrapped the entire rear of the fog lamp. Total $8.00 the value of having two working for lamps....priceless!

I ordered part # WPT 692 Fog lamp female sockets through the dealer.
I may go for the shrink wrap idea too.
