...well after seeing 67,400 miles on the original tires, I finally had to open the wallet and purchase 4 new BF's KDWS from the Tire Rack, I just had them installed at Ford who at the same time did an alignment using Carfixer's aligment specs. Tires were filled with nitrogen this time (should help) and since I was bored waiting for all this too happen I decided to take a trip to the parts dept. and purchased the drivers side power switch since mine was going bad (which took me all of 5 mins to install) it's funny that after 1 year of reading some of your threads indicating some of the "TYPICAL" Marauder problems I'm starting to get it's first dose of owning this fine car, oh well it's all part of owning the Marauder and I'm sure I'll get over it......................i'm over it :D
Thanks to all of you who offer expert advice in this forum it's made my buying/service decisions extremely easy
Cheers

The original owner had aftermarket wheels & tires for a while (2 yrs) but I think i squeezed more than than enough out of the old BF's.
I save my burnouts for my 5.0.......cheaper on tires:burnout:

The stock MM is pretty hard to do "burnouts" with unless you are trying really hard. The tires are so tall, w/ 3.55s you just don't have enough leverage against them.
Air is mostly nitrogen anyway, so adding "pure nitrogen" didn't really gain you anything. It's pure profit for whomever got you to buy that

I did burnouts easy when my car was stock, no water or anything to help.
I've only had a few problems, low charge alternator (replaced by dealer when I bought it), radiator fan (assy and motor all one piece $640!!), driver's side window control and now the wipers (replaced the motor, still not working right) ordered a new multi-function switch today and will pick it up tomorrow. Other than that car has been just fine.

I am used to my Camaro, which if you launch suddenly from above 1/2 throttle, you get uncontrollable wheelspin. So the Mm seems "hard to do burnouts" with by comparison (ie you actually have to brake torque it and floor it). Although traction is a good thing

Yea not sure why you can't do burnout's easily, mine roast with almost no braking.

This is like being on a Chevy board where all the 170 hp. 305 guys w/ 2.73 peg leg rears jump in and say "must be something wrong with your car, I can lay down a 500 foot strip from a 60 mph roll!!!!!"
Ok guys. The road tests for the MM all noted how difficult it was to turn the tires unless you were really trying. I don't think I'm imagining things.

I noticed my Ford dealer has jumped on the Nitrogen bandwagon when I had the wife's ride in for oil change. They didn't mention it, just stapled a sheet advertising it to the rest of the paperwork when I checked out. I told the wife that if she wasked asked at a future date if she wanted it to say "no". If regular air is good enough for me to and the MM to breathe, then it's good enough for the tires to breathe, by gum. :D
