View Full Version : Car Show Today
Well, I'm off to enter my first local car show this PM. A new venue that started last month and will run thru September. All kinds of classes, burn out contest, car clubs, street rods and Hawgs.
Silverback is looking spiffy, sure has a lot of battle scars, maybe that will count for character points.
Bet I'm the only Marauder there and, hopefully, will attract some attention so I can represent our genre.
Had a Mustang drag car owner stop by and look at the car in the strip mall parking lot a few days ago. He was impressed with the S/C and nitrous set up. We should meet at the drag strip later this spring.
Wish me luck. I'm already having fun.

Good luck and take lots of pics to post! Way to represent.
I'm ashamed. Forgot my camera. But the Marauder "showed" well, many spectators studied the story board looked over the car real good and although I was about twenty feet away I could see they were talking it up, pointing and smiling. Also had several offers to buy the car, Ha.
I feel that the Marauder got more than it's share of attention. The new Hemi crowd hardly got any views, while the Cobra's got a ho hum. The sedans that got the attention were My marauder, a really sharp GNX and a pair of older Ford sedans with FE motors chromed to the max.
I was the only participant that had a story board and it was invaluable, a must have if you show your car, even in a group of similiar vehicles.
Had lots of fun, gave tutorials on S/Cing and Dennis Reinhart's installation won a lot of praise.
Regards,

Having fun w/ your car is what it's all about.:)
My children are no longer interested in the drag races. They are interested in the car shows. I will begin to participate and I am looking forward to it.
I am going to put together a binder of photos, sticker, regeneration process.
Most will not take the time to look thru it.
Many will look at a story board.
Please post what your story board says and how you made it.

Here's mine. Needs to be updated. Did it in MS Powerpoint. Dropped the file on a disc and had it printed on 1/4" foam board at FedEx/Kinkos in three different sizes: 8.5 x 11, 11 x 17, and 17 x 24.

Looks awesome! What was the theme of the show? Could anyone enter? I would have been all over that GNX as well.
