Headlights activate with wipers??

I took my 03 MM out yestarday for the first time in the rain since I got it. I don't recall my 04 MM Headlights turning on when I activated the wipers, but my 03's do. Is this correct? Do they automatically turn on with the wipers? Also, How do I go about finding out when mine was built and what number it is? I noticed alot of members all know there production dates and numbers of which they were built. Thanks.

Yes. Works that way even if the wipers are on intermittent.

Maybe that is only with 2003 models, never did it on my 04.

My 04 turns them on automatically.
