completed my MM!
Just put on Flowmaster 40's this week with the stock resonated tips they are just slightly louder on the inside than stock and sounds great (loouder) on the outside when I mash the pedal! But not too loud. The dealer welded them in and welded on brackets with a rubber grometed piece that mounted to the stock location
I also loaded my supertuner program, wow! The car actualy will burn a several foot patch of rubber from a dead standstill! Shifts better and does not "hunt" for gears. I have not fine tuned the program yet, just using the "stock" superchip program. May not be as good as the DR chip or having it tuned by a professional, but for a car that is a daily driver, IMO the tuner is worth every penny. The car just feels faster and you can keep your head held high because you can now lay a patch of rubber. In additon if I go to the dealer I can load the factory program back.
All this for under $500, 3 dollars under to be exact, a cheap upgrade.

There are many suppliers, I got mine off the internet for $299. You need the 1725 supertuner, just check the code on your door jam and make sure the tuner has that code in from the factory. If not most retailers can order it from Supertuner in 2-3 days with the proper code for your car. Worse case you will have to send the tuner in yourself for a free upgrade to Superchips. I also found a local retailer in my area that only charges $340 out the door for the 1725, not bad if you do not want to wait for one and save a couple of bucks. Just check around, there is also Cole Performance on this site who sells them. Either way worth the money.
My muffler guy wanted 200, so I offered him 180 cash installed and out the door, he took me up on it.
Basically shop around and get what is right for you.

03MERCMARAUDER,
Sorry, my car was bone stock until this week. Only has the supertuner and flowmasters.

BryanK, I'm not experienced with 'tuners', does this critter allow you to change shift points only?? Is the Torque Conv Clutch a program-able feature separate from shift points??

I can't put a patch of rubber down with the Rienhart chip. :(
I should be able to after the TMS s/c install though. :D

Congrats on the Flowmasters install and the MicroTuner tune! I'm planning on the same install and tuner except that I already have the Cone Engineering resonator-delete tips I bought from Innovative Interceptors (loud=good, IMO).
VERY, VERY COOL to hear about your "several-foot" patch!!! Question: did you have to "torque-brake" to lay that patch of rubber? Would you mind describing your launch in a bit more detail, please? Thanks.

As for the launch, this 40 year old turned 16 and just floored it when leaving a "stop" sign, ie Spin Tires On Pavement.
The tuner does alwow you to change several things as Cole Performance and others have stated many times, but does not alow you to adjust to torque converter specifically. I am just now running the "stock" super tuner program.
I am sure the Dennis Reinhart Chip is the best, however the dealer does not know mine has been touched as the seals are not broken. Also if Dennis tuned you car with a laptop, I am sure that it would also be better. The superchip tuner is a good option as you can put it back to stock, change settings and if the dealer did blow some how out your program, you can put it back your self. So it is not a bad option. As far as seat of the pants feel it is great, even though I may be missing a few hp from a custom tune.
