larryo340, That thing does look nice. Good shots. I like those tips.

I don't know what kind of camera you have, but "auto" is probably not the best setting if you want to be creative. Auto, gives the camera complete control over every shot that you take.

I like to use "aperture priority" for most of my shooting. That gives me some control over what parts of the shot I intend to be in focus.

Thanks

Thanks, those tips make the rear of the car :D

I reposted my reply in your thread, put it here by accident :o
I have a Kodak z712is, I know it doesn't compare to a SLR digital, but I didn't want to go with a physically bigger camera. Plus I didn't intend to be creative, but after seeing yours and Cruztakers pictures I'd like to try.

I am leaving tomorrow moring for Memphis for Hot Rod magazines Pump Gas Drags with two friends that were invited to participate in, and I'll try out the manual mode if time allows.

Meanwhile keep posting those great shots.

:beer:Just a quick tip. Don't try something new if it's an important shoot. For drags, your camera may do quite well in auto. I'd hate for you to come back with blurry pics and blame it on me.

Not to worry, I don't like to play the "blame game"

I'm going to help out with the cars, and towing one of them from Long Island to Memphis.
There should be enough play time for me with the camera.

Have a good night, as I'm hitting the sack early :sleepy: before the Looooooooong drive in the morning
