Has anyone taken their Merc and compared quarter mile times with both tunes. It would be interesting to take a stock Rauder down the quarter and then compare quarter times with each tune (DR/Lidio). :banana2: Has anyone done this??

Thing is you would need to do a test on the same car at the same track.

Stock tune, do a run
Load one tune, do three runs
return to stock, do another run
Load the other tune, do three runs
Return to stock do a run
repeat for another tune, etc...

It also wouldn't take into account driving preference and street use.

Now maybe you can get a Trial tune from each vendor and setup a test for a number of cars and then do a weekend meet cruise and test. Then post results and accompaning videos. Three/four/five different drivers three/four/five Marauder and load each tune and return to stock inbetween and have a cruise evaluation.

Tabulate how each works, according to the preference of the drivers and with what each Marauder has and post up a good research and review.

Might even get it published in a Performance Ford magazine.

If you did all those runs in the same day, the tune you use second would be at a disadvantage because of heat soak. A better idea would be to have two stock rauders do a run and then add a DR tune to one and a Lidio tune to the other and see which one performs better.

I have gone between stock and DR, stock and custom tune from another member, custom member tune and DR's tune, now DR tune and Zack tune.

Zack listened to my needs, issues I was having and gave a great effort to help me out. He made it fun to drive my MM again.

My race tune is worth about 0.2 second and 40+ HP with pure 101 octane gas. The car really launches very strong and should go into the low 11.9s.

You could do a blind test.

Have three tunes.

A B C

A is one of the three.

B is one of the other two.

C is the one you havn't used yet.

have them loaded on cars and do a test run all day.

then alternate and over three days you get three reports on each tune.

Tabulate the results and reveal who was which tune.

If done at a Marauderville type meet, then you could use 20 or so cars and get a good blind test.

I have a Zack tune in my 04. Never a problem! As for times slips, I don't know which is better. I'm happy with what I have.

I'll have to take a video of the lag spot (around 60mph) I'm having and see if you can figure it out.

The dr and lidio tunes are close enough in preformance other variables will make the difference in times.

By running at the track you will be able to see how each tune shifts @WOT.
