...Living in Nebraska. Friday morning I left the Omaha area and headed west. With snow all through I-70 in the Colorado Rockies, I turned south as I came into Colorado on I-70 from that "toto" state (and it was blowing snow in that area also). I broke out of the snow about 20 miles south of the interstate and finally stopped for the night in Raton, NM. Departing Raton early Saturday morning, I cruised through and stopped at Las Vegas, NV and met up with some friends.
Side note: Due to security issues at the Hoover Dam, they are actually building an extremely high bridge across that canyon just down stream of the dam. My hat is off to those construction workers.
Sunday morning I departed Vegas and arrived later that afternoon safely at Lompoc, CA where I'll be working for the next week and a half. On departure, the MM will be stashed at a friends place, until the wife and me do the final move out here at the beginning of August. The government will only pay to move 2 vehicles in the move so we decide to bring the MM out first. This leaves our Mariner (to stuff essentials in) and the SUPERDUTY to haul our 31 ft camper out.
During the entire 1800 mile western cruise, I never saw another MM on the road...interesting.
