This car is super fast, super firm-shifting, and absolutely will walk away from any other Crown Victoria, Mercury Marauder, Impala SS or Caprice 9C1 with an LT1.
What???????

"...with the highly sought after "High Performance Package (HPP)". This is the one everyone wants, but is almost impossible to find."

He's right, that package IS impossible to find, since it doesn't exist. HPP stands for Handling & Performance Package.

This guy is a moron...especially if he thinks his bone stock CV will "walk away from" an Impala SS... :shake:

I have no clue what was limited about it.George, many dealers will take a few CVs or GMs and ruin them with ridiculous things like fake wire-wheel hubcaps and a vinyl landau roof, then plaster "Limited Edition" badges on them and jack the price way up.

I believe that it is a HPP (that is, Handling and Performance, not High Performance). It's got the rims and duals. Yeah, he could have added them himself, but I doubt.

Why is it that everyone who ever sells a car says "it's all highway mileage." Do buyers even believe that crap.

It is all sales and marketing. Take a course they teach you to say these "power" words that will sell the product.

I used to say it was lying, that is why no one where I worked would get me to talk to customers. I also would forget to charge taxes for anyone. Maybe that is why I don't work there anymore.

Oh noes! A MM box/MAF. Every CV/GM with these think they're up to par all of a sudden with a MM.

There are CV/GM's on this board that think they are up to par with an MM, even without the MM air box

ha ha ha, you all are so funny, hate'n on the HPP, well pull up to me one day with your MM and see what happens. Not saying I will smoke ya, cause I won't, but you will be surprised, trust me my Alamo Marauder friends already have been.

Not disrespecting the MM, cause they rock, I love them, but when you pick on the HPP I will speak up, specially modded ones:)

Powered by the 4.6 liter OHC V8 with the sport handling suspension, sway bars front and rear, four-wheel disc brakes, Limited Slip Traction Lock rear axle and full, true-dual stainless-steel exhaust, this car is the ultimate sleeper, a real wolf in sheep's clothing."

I hope you're not serious...

With the mods listed in your sig, I'd be surprised if you ran 15.5 in the 1/4 mile. Pretty sure every marauder, even stock, would walk all over you.

See you would think that, but when you get out on the street with me, not just the straights, you will be surprised. Also since the last update on my sig I have gotten powerslot brakes and an SCT tune.

It seems that you also look at my sig and assume since I have no big power adders my car must be slow. Which in a way it is... I mean I am not pulling 14's that is for sure. However, if you look at my signature my car handles better then most MMs on here and probably stops as well or better then most on here, especially stock. Plus I am not speculating here, I hang out with MMs all the time, I am part of my local club and by regularly I meet up with them at least twice a month. I have made runs with them all over Texas.

Again and let me make this clear: I am not saying I am faster then an MM or even as fast as a stock MM down the line. That is not all of what "going fast" is about when you move away from the strip.

If I said I had a porsche 944 you would probably imagine my car maybe being fast enough to keep up with you all and let me tell you I walked that car down the line all the time when I had my car stock. My brother had one and I could even take him down the line with my Tauras. However, we took all types of cars all the time, not because of our sheer speed, but because the car could handle, brake and had some serious top end speed.

I know we often only ever talk about 1/4 miles here and dyno pulls, but when you get out on the track and streets things change. Peoples ability to drive come into play. I am not saying I am an expert driver or a race driver, that would be foolish of me. Just saying I grew up with the idea of tire patch, brake transitioning, double clutching (not that I get to use that on the GM) and other driving techniques before I even had my license, so the way I think about driving in general I often find to be different then most.

My approach is not a mash the gas and go as fast as I can. Braking distance, cornering abilities are very important to me, as you see from my sig. I am building up my car a certain way, yeah at some point I will be able to walk stock and modded MM's, but that is down the line. I am enjoying each upgrade as a I do it. I know I have time, though I am only 27, I know to enjoy the upgrade path. I see guys on these types of boards go through cars like hot cakes, modding them so fast they often sell them in the same year they bought them because they get bored.

Again that is not my approach.

Also, I should note this. The last big MM event I went to the fastest car there was a GM HPP with an AED super charger on it. Again, hey I know, there are MM's that would take this. We could get into an arms race. But sometimes when you are out on the street you are not the fastest thing out there and sometimes you are.

That is what makes this hobby so interesting and fun, those small surprises out on the road. That is what is so much fun about the MM as well, when you catch that mustang or 300 SRT-8 off guard.

Actually now that I think about it, why am I telling you all this, if you all start thinking twice about the HPP's then you all might not let me get that 1/2 second lead I need to take yal down the line:P (Ok maybe I just need it to stay up...)

:stupid: I have a 05 Sport with a tune, PI MAF, zip, Magnablow exhaust, tons of brake and supension mods, it's better, but it's still a pooch:woof:.

Maybe I need more mods, so I can sell this thing and get something else.

ha ha ha, you all are so funny, hate'n on the HPPNO ONE here is "hating" or picking on the HPP. All we were saying is that:

a: This clown called it the "High Performance Package", which is incorrect.

and

b: He claims his nearly stock car is faster than "any other CV, Marauder or 9C1", which is VERY difficult to believe.
