View Full Version : What is this thing?
I don't think this tuner is being represented correctly. Does anyone recognise what's really being sold?

Thanks.
The ad looks fine to me.
I would guess all of the tunes for the vehicles listed are stored in the tuner and the owner selects the vehicle from the menu.
Once programmed, Im sure it will not work on another vehicle.
After doing more investigation - it looks like a Diablo Predator... not one of the new GMS ones.
Other than not knowing if the tuner is unlocked, what else is missing? Does the tuner usually come with computer software so you can modify the program?
Sorry for the questions but I have a Superchips 1725 and would like something better...
THANKS

Get a tune here from one of our vendors.....I hear both are great at what they do and from personal experience I love my Lidio tune....do you have a Marauder?

128MB Ram (closest competitor is 2MB) provides 32 times faster programming.
How does more RAM speed up the connection to the ODB2?
BTW I watched a local shop run over one of these (well the diablo one) in the shop truck. (On purpose) All things considered it held up pretty well.

The ad seems to indicate it will work in up to 6 vehicles...
Fuego allows you to tune up to 6 vehicles 1 at a time.
So...does that mean it'll store tunes for 6 vehicles and let you do each one, or does it lock after one tune install but still save the other car's tunes...

Good grief! Just buy an XCalII from a sight vendor and rest assured....
If you are trying to go cheap, you'll get what you pay for and end up paying the difference anyways... even if it's in headache factor!!!

Go with an xcal 3, you will be happy.
SID,
To clear up any confusion, I am currently using a Superchips 1725 tune on my Marauder and want something better...
I have talked to Dennis and am awaiting a reply from Lidio about putting their tune on a used Predator.
As far as I'm concerned, as long as a Marauder tune is available, I see no need to spend big money on an Xcal3.
Regarding the eBay item listed in the first post, I think I'll stay away from it since the seller is presenting it as a Granatelli Fuego but I think it's just a Granatelli badged Diablo Predator.
