All,

What are the recommended parts to pick up for a chin spoiler install? I talked to brian and natalie about it at Berts, they recommended some of the push pins/screws to get, and waht drill bit was used on his car.

Can you let me know again what size pins to get? I left the spoiler at my folks place so don't have it to look at.

Who knows if I had time I could instlal before Saturday plus I can pick parts up beforehand.

I used 1/4" push rivets. If I hit something it will pull the rivets out instead of tearing the bumper.

Deleware huh? That's not too too far from me. What didn't you like about it? From the pics people have, it looks like the chin spoiler doesn't fit that well and it looks stuck on.

The key is to let the spoiler conform to its natural bend as much as possible. I had to remove and re-install mine several times before I got it just right.

In the pics above, what is causing the spoiler to ripple? It's pointy in the middle and then swoops up, then back down, towards each edge. I guess that is what irks me, otherwise I'd install one.

I used 1/8 body screws so this way if I dont like it or it gets ripped off, it wont leave huge holes in my bumper cover

Correct, I had the center of the chin spoiler slightly out too far, moved it back about .5 inch to fix it. It is still slightly off but you have to see it up close and stare at it to realize it.

Nope just the angle I was parked out and thanks for the compliment, I love that picture. I've been meaning to take another one just like it now that I have the cowl hood.

I have been thinking about getting one cause I have seen several SBs with them and it's growing on me but I wouldn't want to get rid of my oem grille, so I would need to get two lol.

I meant have two different grilles and just switch them out every once in a while.

Breadfan, sry for hijacking your thread lol. But yeah SilverSurfer03 and let you know what you need. I bought mine through him and he gave me some plastic push pins. I also put in 4 screws in between the plastic pins to ensure a good hold.

The push pins are the christmas tree ones right, do you recall offhand what size you picked up?

No biggie, with the rain right now I'll be looking at the spoiler before I pickup parts, so I'll know what to get when I check out the mounting holes again. :)
