The subject line says it all - I'm reluctant to try to force the clear lens from the black housing until I know more about how to do it.

If you are trying to fix "fogging" all you have to do is remove the top layer of plastic resin and recoat with UV polish. Looks like new, just had this done to my MM by mobile service.

Nope - trying to get inside to clean it, after it fogged and the water evaporated and left a mineral-like deposit, which clouded the light. I already did the outside.

i've never studied the back of a MM headlight, but i know most ford headlights can be heated to remove the cover. Put it in the oven at a low temp and keep checking it. The silicone that hold the front on will eventually loosen up and you can pull the front off.
