My name is Tim and I'm the latest newb. I'm not a marauder owner, but I have recently become the owner of an '05 Crown Vic LX Sport. I work in the IT dept of a local city government and provide computer support to the police dept. Our dept has 25 crown vics, which is where I acquired the panther bug.

I'm not new cars, and I've played on both sides of the fence with Chevys and with Fords. My first car was a 1978 malibu with a 350, th350 tranny, ford 9" rearend. Other past toys included a 95 Mustang GTS with many mods and enough nitrous to get into the high 11s, and an '88 Monte SS with a 383, th350 tranny, and 9" rear.

Every day when I get into my lx sport to drive to work I feel a little nostalgic about my new ride, it reeks of the good days when cars had a v8 under the hood, a solid rear axle, and the frame & body were two seperate pieces. It's nice to find a gathering of folks who feel the same way I do.

Thanks
-Tim

Hi Tim, I live in Imperial (although it is on the market as we are about 80% complete on a new one in St. Charles). Before I bought my '04 Marauder, I had a 2002 CV. The year before rack and pinion steering. Loved that car.

Welcome to the group! You joined at the PERFECT time as I am chairing the MV-VI annual meet here in STL in September. We could always use another committee member. We are meeting this Wednesday at Hooter's South County for dinner then driving across the street to Dave Sinclair Lincoln Mercury. I am hoping to be able to meet with John Sinclair for some level of sponsorship for MV-VI.

Please join us if you can. Also, on Sunday, 01 June, we will be meeting at the Courtyard hotel Earth City to look at the hotel, then dry run to the places we will be visiting during MV-VI.

Call me at 314.705.1395 if you want. Be happy to see that CV there!!!
