as most of us know, when someone who does know what a Marauder is sees us, they ask how or where we got it. well...

I'm driving in downtown Leominster, which has the high old brick buildings, your typical New England downtown.We have the windows down adn the music playing and I'm looking around for cars, people, and whatnot while we are at a stop. I see a man run towards my car, in the middle of the road. he runs up and starts yelling,

"Oh *****!! thats a Marauder!"
"howd you get that thing!"
"they dont even make them anymore!"
"Oh My God!!"

i kid you not, the guy acted like i was Bill Gates in Lambo. well i just smiled and talked to him politely, trying to get him off the yellow lines he was standing on, then he asks

"can you do a burnout right here for me!?!"
cop is sitting next to me, lmao "No"

as i pull away you here my flowmasters echoing off the bricks and it sounds awesome. the guy is just pacing in the opposite lane watching it move....

even worse is i was going to the dealership:(
and when i went to trade the guy spelt Marauder---MIRAWDER

i know i will miss the Marauder, but i dont regret anything. i thought i regretted getting the MM from my 94 CV that i owned out right and paid almost nothing for to maintain. but i am so glad i did in some aspects and not so happy in others.

I'm glad you listened to me. RX8's SUCK! I told you when I test drove one, if you're below 6500rpm's, you're better off with a bicylcle sinec they have no power. Gotta love the 10.5k redline though :D.

It's Thunderbolt, get it right. And why should he leave? Where does it say you "need" to own a MM to be on this board? At least his MM is in his name. Oh and Adam, after you test drive one, you won't want to trade it.

i have tested it, it was awesome. i loved it.

you do not own a Crown Vic, yet your ass is on cv.net all day. Just because your dad's Marauder is in your signature, doesnt make it yours.

i have never owned a car that wasnt a RWD V8. the MM is my fourth car and i would like to mix it up. i loved how my camaro felt to drive.... really low slung adn windows that start at your chin, and the Z offers that. but it also gets some serious power out of a V6 and i would love to own one.

If you honestly want a 350, consider a 300ZX. FAR more badass and would hand a 350 its ass over and over again.

300ZX is older and i would like to keep something newer with less miles...

and i dont particualrily love the 300ZX style although they are far more badass lol

The guys on this board with Grand Marquis, etc., do not own an MM any more than he does, when he sells his.

Buy what you want man. If the Marauder doesn't do it for you anymore find something else and it sounds like you have. A car is just a car. Those 350Zs look really cool to me and it seems like there is more out for them than the Marauder, but I'm still a Marauder man.

Whatever decision you make, be sure that it's one you'll be happy with. Who cares what other think? The only thing that matters is you are a happy driver. ;)

I'll stick to my Marauder for at least another five years. :burnout:

Looks like I'm a little late to the party...

But, please allow me to voice my opinion...

There will be times when someone speaks out of line, and may seem disrespectful...In these situations, please take the time to teach and educate that individual to understand their mistake...

When we respond in the like (dis-respectful) fashion, it only serves to encourage bitterness and animosity, among us...

To the point:

Gentlemen...When you use expletives (swear words) on this site, particularly toward eachother, it degrades this site, and insults the integrity of the proud people within this community...

Please, try to be patient with the younger one's, as they do not know the error of thier ways...It is for us to teach and nurture...

In short, I would not want somebody to talk to my child like that, even if he did make such a mistake...

I'm glad to hear that I bring a little sunlight into your day. I have to bite my lip a lot but sometimes I can't help myself. This board requires a lot of tiptoeing if you aren't one of the "good ol boys". I'm not a big fan of the "dogpile" mentality that I see a lot but it's not my call...

I have no interest in being "cookie cutter".
