As some of you know I looked for a DBP MM for months and finally bought one a couple of weeks ago. Even though I was offering $950 from CA to TX, there were too many cars waiting to be shipped so I just flew out to San Diego yesterday and drove her home.
Needless to say the 1,400 mile drive was sort of a PIA but it was a tremendous bonding opportunity. 20 hours on the road in 2 days, I know her pretty well and was thrilled with how she handles on long hauls. She's got a couple of minor issues in the finish that I will get fixed but she's like new on the inside and runs outstanding for a bone stock vehicle.
Let the mods begin.

Yeah!! Happy dance. I picked my car up in Boston and drove it home to MN. You are right, that much time in two days and you get to know the car.
Looks like a beautiful car! Enjoy it.

Yep, it was a long drive but it was worth it to finally get her home. Now the wife's pissed I put her car in the driveway until I get a few things out of my 3rd slot, then we'll be all set.
Thanks for your help to all the folks here!

..and since he's from Texas, all that house prolly cost $200,000 or under

Christ...For $200,000, you get laughed at, and kick out of the office, around these parts...

Planned mods are intake and tune. Tint, spoiler and dead pedal are ready and waiting. I have a few paint issues to resolve and then will get to the blower...by this time next year (at the latest) she will have a Trilogy...I hope.
The house is a bit more than $200K but it's a quality home loaded with upgrades and I got the 3 car garage I wanted in a nice hood with great schools within walking distance (my commute is 12 miles round trip). Texas; good homes at affordable prices.
I may be able to make the breakfast Saturday, will try, will have the kids with me though.

Those rears on the Cobra look like my track tires. What are the 295's?
dpotter
05-12-2008, 07:51 PM
GS-D3 315's, I still prefer the sticky Mickeys though from a performance standpoint. GS-D3's look much better though IMO and really fill the wheel well nicely.
