O.k., here goes, My 1st trip to the track resulted in the mighty 1 wheel wonder down the track:mad2:. disappointed i'm ready to rebuild the rear. i want to get the best kit, so your help is deeply appreciated. I'm sure it's the Trac-Loc, but should i go with the cobra kit or factory kit? i will add the xtra plate regardless. so any help will do! thanx and happy draggin'

I have the carbon kit and F-150 spring on order.
Post up how it goes(works out).
If you are staying stock power levels, the standard discs should be all you need.

You can rebuild your rear but to fix the 1 wheel spin, get new clutches put in the rear and your problem will be solved.

Any clutch/friction disc type differential is a temporary solution. A Detroit Locker is the strongest and longest lasting fix (NASCAR uses them).

Yeah the 8.8 trac lock (actually any of the Ford track locks, including the 9" stock unit) are very weak. If you burned up the stock one, which is a revised unit that is much better than the earlier years, then you are probably going to burn it up again. The F150 spring just gives you a stronger bias -- it does not make the clutches any stronger. The carbon discs might let it live forever, but you might want to look into an aftermarket limited slip
