Ring and pinion Break in procedure?

whats the deal with this? Ive heard everything from it doesnt matter once its in just have fun to... Drive easu for 300 miles and then change the fluid.. anything I shud know?

No continuous high speed and no large torque reversals for 500 miles on a green differential. PS - I am basically quoting a Ford driveline engineer's comments on this subject.

Vary your speed for the 1st 500 miles.

No fluid change necessary. Just check the level.

what kinda of variance in speed are we talking? between zero and speedlimits? or 0 and really fast?>
