By this I mean in which order mod installs should be done.

Like a Super charger might be a great idea, but if you later have to pull the eninge or install headers it would be in the way.

High Stall Torque Converter upgrade, but doing this last might not be a good idea.

So what order should mods be done in?

Not that they can't be done in other orders but what is the best order?

IE:

CAI
HSTC
4.10
Supercharger/Turbo
Nitrous
Headers
Exhaust
Mufflers
Cats
rear end upgrades
skid plates, including the bumper mod
Jmod thingy
brakes
wheels
tires
swaybars
crossbars
the other suspension things
tune
Maf
IAT
IAC or ICA or whatever it is called
stereo head unit
speakers
blinking LED switches
keypad code
spare tire upgrade
Sub and Amp
etc...

What is the best order to do all the mods?

So you don't have to redo things you have already done.

It's 2:41 AM and there's nothing better than a precedence/sequential brain teaser until the sun comes up. Besides it's raining.

Performance Modifications

Supercharger/turbo (CAI included in kit)
Note: MAF, IAT are changed with S/C kit or turbo kit or as tuning dictates
otherwise stock components are used.

Wet Nitrous can also be added at this point. purge kit with colored LED can be added here.
180 degree Thermostat can be added along with S/C kit
Iridium spark plugs one or two range cooler added at this point.

Pillar pod and guages

Dyno tuning at this point if supercharger kit does not provide tuning files.

CAI if S/C power adder is omitted. Nitros nozzels can be plumbed in CAI at this point.

Flasher tune with nitrous, but without supercharger,
using X-Cal SCT

1st position - 93 octane,
2nd position - 93 octane with 4:10s,
3rd position - Nitrous (retarded ignition)

4:10 gears with girdle and Traction Loc upgrade.
31 spline axel upgrades at this point.

Drive Train Mods

Up graded driveshaft.
High Speed stall converter (optional if supercharger is installed).
Transmission rebuild/upgrade to 500 HP including rear bearing oiling mod
(J-mod if desired)
Head cooling kit when tranny is removed.
Deep sump oil pan
extra tranny oil cooler.

Exhaust System

Headers/exhaust/CATS/mufflers as a unit.
(If separately, then: mufflers, X-pipe, headers) Retune may be required.

Running Gear

Rear Wheel widening and corresponding tires for traction.
Brake system upgrade
Control arm upgrade
swaybar upgrade
Lowering springs front, if desired - adjust rear ride height

Asthetic Items

Bumper mod can be added anytime
Stero upgrades can be added anytime
LED, keykpad code, spare tire upgrade can be added anytime
Oil pressure and voltmeter pod guages replacement.

There are prolly other things I forgot but it was fun.

Very simply do it all at the same time. Kinda like the Daytona 500. Get your Pit Crew to start flying elbows!

The more touching the MM at the same time the greater the savings in over lap.

Thanks, Pat! Someone should maintain a list like this on the wiki!

Safety first...

Brakes: lines, pads, rotors or Big brake kit

Handling: Sways, Control Arms, watts link if you desire, shocks and/or lowering if desired.

Driveline: gears if you desire, definately a shaft with a loop.

Trans: BC or Reinhart built minimum of Art Car Level II including stub shaft, clutches, jmod or equivalent valve body work and forced lube tailshaft. Torque converter if desired.

Proceed to item 1 in HP while trans is out.

HP: Rear head cooling mod FIRST. 180 stat, Headers, blower. Forget the CAI if you are going with a snail. Get one if you are going roots. Don't waste money on fancy metal plugs, either. You're gonna put NGKTR6 copper in there after the blower anyways.

Tune: Get one whenever you want. However, you're wasting your money not to get a tune from someone who can support the future tune for your blower.
